If there really isn't a community creations like thing, maybe someone will really hop on the nostalgia train and have a site like caws.ws. Hopefully without the malware and other weirdness that site had. AEW Fight Forever is gonna single-handedly keep the lights on over at GameFAQs. That, and the Suikoden franchise. Because God knows you can't beat those games without a walkthrough. YouTube's another option if you're more of a visual learner like me who struggles with written instructions sometimes.  |

I forget if there was a Windows/PC version announced? Because if this game is any good and gets half the mod scene WWE 2k19 had on PC, that'd be awesome.

The new footage definitely looks a lot better then what they've previously shown. No shareable creations does kinda suck but if the CAW system is more like DoR as opposed to the 2k series it might not be that much of an issue. Still waiting for more info on the creation side and career mode but it's looking like a pretty good first outing now.

It sounds like they got a solid core game on their hands. Hearing they won Best Sports/Racing game at GamesCom is a good sign, too. Just need to do QA with the remaining time to stamp out bugs and clean up animations and the like. That and add some bells and whistles so it isn't as "Straight out of 2005" in the bad ways along with all the good lol.
Someone commented on Twitter that it sorta sounds like THPS1+2 HD in that it's a big "returning to roots" in terms of an approach to a subgernre that hasn't been done (or done well) in quite some time along with some more modern sensibilities. Granted, THPS1+2HD was a remake of two games while AEW FF, if all these impressions pan out, will be a spiritual sequel in the same sense the WWE Day of Reckoning games and Def Jam: Vendetta and FFNY were.

I was initially bummed about no CC, but it didn't occur to me until just yesterday that if the CAW system is similar to No Mercy, then the lack of shareability might not be the worse thing. I had a blast challenging myself to create a wrestler as close to a real life look with the tools and materials provided by the game. It wasn't perfect (thanks, lack of masks), but it still felt better than having to spend hours tweaking looks and trying to get things to look just right within the still broken system of 2K. Hell, as advanced as the facial structure system is in 2K games, it's always a pain when you just want an original wrestler who's face isn't the default (as an aside, I wish there was some way to randomize facial features in 2K22). Now, I don't know how well it'll go over now when gamers expect to be able to download a wrestler immediately, but it's not the downfall of the game that it could be. Hell, because they're committed to supporting this game for a while, the hope is still there that a CC feature could be added down the road. Hopefully, the game on Switch will be stable enough to work well, a good wrestling game on Switch (outside of Wrestling Empire) is sorely needed. |

It’s not too nuts. This is apparently pretty bare-bones so they probably tried to get “most peoples favorites” and it’s only been the last few months that FTR’s been on fire. But still sucks. I can see why it’d bother them.
And if the money for it is anything like the old wwe games deals…then yeah, I can see them being really pissed about it.
