It's probably too late in the development process to remove him and it's not like they're compelled to pull a last minute Benoit removal from the WWE game that year. He's a jackass, not a murderer. And if by some miracle, he and the Elite and AEW are able to resolve differences, it's oddly current.
Hell, Cody's still in the game.

Maybe they’ll just turn Punk’s stats all the way down so he’s the biggest jobber in the game.

I have never heard that about Steiner but that is fn funny. I know we have had many instances of guys still being in the coding and just hidden away but this...this is hilarious |

I know we have had many instances of guys still being in the coding and just hidden away but this...this is hilarious He was in “Shut Your Mouth” or “Here Comes the Pain” one of those I remember I distinctly remember a bit in the story mode if your wrestler is WWF Champion, a lower ranked wrestler would approach Vince and demand a title shot, and Vince would give it to him as along as he never had to deal with him again. The wrestler the game chooses for this depends on the their ranking… I would play the story over and over and I would get post RTC blue trunks Stevie Richards, Sean O’Haire, Chavo Guerrero, and one time Scotty Steiner. |

As much as I don't like the "live services" model for most games, I think it works well for this kind of format. Especially compared to annual editions. Much less stressful on the devs too.

Way better to add on to this game for a few years than try and make new AEW games every year when this one took as much time as it did already
I think you could add and do a lot with this already, Arena, Attire, Theme Music, and new Wrestler/CAW DLC could be huge

Live Service makes so much more sense for sports games (where it should replace annual releases) but especially wrestling games.
It's easy to transfer players between teams etc. in most sports games manually but wrestling game rosters can quickly feel outdated as new wrestlers sign, alignments change, gimmicks change etc. all of which are much more time consuming to manually correct.

I do wonder with teh live service type thing... what do you do with like... wrestlers you no longer have the rights to?
do they become unplayable in new patches? I doubt you can keep someones likeness in for perpetuity like that... it's one thing when it's a new game every year but licensing fees were one of the big drawing points for getting into the games...
