Oh? Do tell (with spoilers if needed). {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Ariel is at a marketplace on the surface and meets Jodi who is playing a vendor who offers her a fork and Ariel uses it to comb her hair. I met Jodi like 2 weeks ago. I should have asked. Going back to the cartoon, hope Rachel Bloom voices their Flounder...if you know, you know...

Just under 500 million at the box office now.
Sounds like it'll be breaking even.

Lost amidst all the stuff about the movie doing poorly overseas is that it's doing very well in Japan and it's one of the biggest movie markets.

Mermaid shows and anime are popular in Japan, so no surprise the film is popular there.

In most cases crossing half a billion like it has would be considered a big hit, yet this is being viewed as disappointing and only breaking even.

It's crossed the 550 million mark, beating the 525 million it was expected to make.
So it looks like this is profitable, if by a small margin.

I wonder how many of those were "I'll wait for it to hit Disney+" viewers?
