What cities are left in the continental US that you could realistically see hosting a future WrestleMania that have not done so already? As a New Orleans native, I was surprised it took so long for us to get a WrestleMania for the first time. New Orleans is one of the biggest cities in the United States in terms of tourism, and has always been a frontrunner in hosting Super Bowls and other sports championships. Yet for some reason, it took the WWE 30 years to give us WrestleMania. Heck, Atlanta got a WrestleMania before New Orleans.
I know there was rumors years ago that Minneapolis would get a WrestleMania since it is Brock's hometown. But Bruce stated on the podcast that this point forward, the company is focused on choosing cities that are going to draw a large international crowd to the states not just for wrestling, but also for tourism to the city itself as a desirable place people would want to spend a vacation. Places like Minneapolis and Indianapolis don't necessarily scream vacation destinations. Therefore, I don't know what's left in terms of cities that have never hosted a WM, but will most likely get one.
We know that Dallas and Los Angeles are the next two cities. I think it's a safe bet that Las Vegas will get a WrestleMania in their new stadium within the next five years, although technically they've already hosted for 9 in the Caesars parking lot some many years ago.
On a side note, I am going to assume that the WWE is done hosting WM in Detroit. I believe they did it for 23 just because it was the 20th anniversary of WM 3. Other than that, Detroit does not check off the box for tourist destination. While Dallas may not be a tourist epicenter the likes of New Orleans, Miami, Orlando, Las Vegas or New York, I am led to believe there's a fascination with western cowboy culture among foreigners, which continues to make Texas an ideal spot for WrestleMania.
