This show could be so good, but the first season was such a letdown. Hoping for better this second season.

No, I too thought it was a welcome improvement on Secret Invasion, but it was also a welcome improvement on being poked in the eye. All flippancy aside though, it was a fun season opener.

At least Loki has an endgame: once he’s at the right mental state it’s going to be time for him to reunite with Thor to personally reassemble the Avengers to deal with all the Kangs. Secret Invasion dropped the ball on helping lead to that storyline. The public should have lost their faith in the Avengers because they let Skrulls invade Earth and were even infiltrated by them. They should have been persona non grata in the public eye while the Thunderbolts took their place as the premier hero team. But no…the damn series ended where it started with some unnecessary dead people and even more unnecessary overpowered heroes.

Loki is pretty much the only Marvel thing I'm invested in now Guardians are done (witholding my opinion on daredevil until some previews come out). And really enjoyed this. Very strong good Doctor Who episode energy

is Squadron Supreme really the only thing people have made up about this show? sounds like people are running out of things to just make up. shame that.

Very strong good Doctor Who episode energy I'm really interested on how Daredevil will be in the MCU. So far, in the limited time he's been on the screen he's kind of been a humorous character. In NWH, he was just Matt Murdock and was serious but it wasn't a big deal. However, in She-Hulk he was basically used for humor (although that was the tone of the show). I'm sure it will be fine, but still interested.

Since Guardians is done, I feel like this is the one Marvel thing going right now that I really really enjoy
And I'm reasonably certain that at least half of that is the awesome music

A theory being thrown around that I’m kind of digging… {Spoiler}…is that McDonald’s manager Jack is the Sacred Timeline younger Mobius.

I haven't come up with any of my own about this season yet, but I do kinda like that one. In terms of the bigger picture, {Spoiler}I get the feeling that Loki is taking the Nick Fury role leading up to and through Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, reruiting heroes and villains from the multiverse, with Strange as the Tony Stark-like figure at the centre of it all.

My biggest predictions are that Loki is eventually going to show up at Thor’s place to get him to assemble the Avengers and Thor won’t even question what the hell is going on because he’s so used to it with Loki.
The Mobius prediction could be why Sylvie is intent on staying where she is. She knows Jack and by extension Mobius are important in the big scheme of things.
Loki and the TVA will be responsible for Deadpool and Wolverine (and possibly whatever X-Men they bring in before the MCU reboot and also the OG Avengers team including Iron Man, Cap and Widow.
Thor and Loki will sacrifice themselves in Secret Wars to stop Kang or whoever the Big Bad ends up being. Thor has to end up in Valhalla with double Lokis.

Not a comics reader, so forgive my lack of background context, but just curious {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Last season, He Who Remains mentions that the variant of Kang who started the Universal War lived in the 31st century. Yet here's a Kang, as a boy, in the 1860s. So can variants of the same person live in wildly different time periods? If so I can't really make much sense of that in line with the whole timeline branching theory. To add to my confusion, in this episode Renslayer says it happened a long time ago! Regardless, it's not elite-level television or anything, but it's kind of incredible how much better and more coherently made this show is compared to some other recent MCU shows. Long live Loki

I'm guessing this works in a similar way. Or they simply figured out time travel before they figured out multiversal travel.
As for the "it happened long ago", that's relative from Renslayer's point of view, not Timely's. She tells Mobius she's been holding the TVA together for eons, so the logical conclusion from that is He Who Remains won the Multiversal War eons ago, and created Miss Minutes and the TV even further back than that.

The comics context is really useful and makes sense, thanks!
