I always wondered after catching up with the show: is this version of Loki a better person morally now than the Loki that died in Endgame? He cares about his friends now and I feel that the one at Endgame was just trying to be on the winning side vs Thanos(though that I thought it was cool that he gave his like to protect Thor)

I'd say endgame Loki & tva Loki are on a par with each other on a level of chaotic neutral. endgame Loki had gone from trying to screw everyone to get ahead to looking to help relocate and rebuild Asgard & it's population, tva Loki quickly went from trying to scheme and screw everyone over to trying to help quite quickly once he saw prime Loki's end even though there is the outside chance he still wants to replace prime Loki in his timeline if he can.

But would he want to leave his friends behind? I do wonder if Marvel seeing the lackluster response to the MCU since Endgame, pivots and asks Hiddleston to be the main character of the MCU till Kang is defeated, and they're able to make Doom the main villain.. I agree they're on the same level. Loki doesn't want to be a big hero, he's not going for a glorious purpose, he just wants his friends back and safe. It's not about him, it's about the ones he cares about.

The case can definitely be made that this is who Loki has always been, and he simply went (seriously) off the rails for a few years, beginning just before the first Thor movie.

I just want more alligator Loki There should be an Avengers movie that's got the exact same plot as the first one, but it's all animal versions of the characters with Alligator Loki as the big bad.

Yeah Loki was always a "bad seed" in that he would trick Thor and stab him or cut Sifs hair. But he did love his family and Asgard. He just had power hunger problem then was broken by the revelation of his true parentage. Seeing his dad die helped snap him out of it. TV Loki went from his most evil to being broken again by being shown the results of his being power hungry. Then he was given the chance to be rebuilt with a true glorious purpose.

{Spoiler}Loki: "OB, how long would it take me to learn everything you know about mechanics, physics and engineering?"
OB: "Decades."
Timely: "Centuries."
They literally cut to a cue card saying "CENTURIES LATER".
I'm dead.

I watched the first episode of the season today because it’s wrapping up and I won’t have to wait week to week for it. I…didn’t like it. At all? Does it get better than the nonsense of the opener?

I’m shocked that there was no credit scene. Wonder if they had one planned but the strike killed their ability to film it.

{Spoiler}Loki's holding everything together!
And calling it now, he'll find a way out to get the Big Damn Hero moment for the Avengers against Kang. Everything looks bad for the Avengers, when from out of nowhere the main Kang is blasted, and it's revealed that Loki is back. Thor and Hulk will be so happy to see Loki back.

Genuinely wonderful finale. {Spoiler}Loki weaving all the branches into the Tree of Yggdrasil was a breathtaking scene. To steal a line, the heirarchy of power in the MCU has changed, and Loki becoming the God of Time pretty much makes him the most powerful individual in the universe, though he seems doomed to spend eternity holding the multiverse together. "Burdened with Glorious Purpose" indeed.
It definitely leaves Marvel an out if they need to pivot away from Majors, and also feels like the perfect way for Hiddleston to sign off if he decides to call it a day. Given how much he loves being Loki, I don't think that's likely, but it's a much more satisfying conclusion than essentially being a JTTS to put Thanos over.

{Spoiler}I suppose Minutes being reset is to prep her for promotion to the movies around the time of Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars, either for the sake of new audiences who don't watch Loki, or to corrupt her all over again on a bigger scale for that audience.
Not a bad finale, but far too reminiscent of many a time travel resolution plot. I liked it far better when it was used in series five of Doctor Who

My biggest criticism of the season is {Spoiler}Sylvie (and, to a lesser extent, Mobius) has nothing of importance to do. Whereas she was the driving force of the first season, in this one she has one episode where she tries to kill Timely before sparing him, and that's it.
