What I love about the promotion of Loki is that so much of it is kept to just Loki's intro into the TVA we don't really have any idea of the rest of the story.
But then again I have stayed away from any an all "breakdown" videos that are out there trying to piece together what they can from clips and trailers.

I'm setting my expectation for cameos at Taserface level. Anything above that and ya'll are just asking to get pissed for no reason.

They shouldn't even advertise surprise cameos like this. It's not like they need to do it to get people interested, Loki and Owen Wilson are enough for that. Just have the cameos. If they're an enjoyable surprise then it will spread the word through word of mouth, like Julia Louis-Dreyfus on TF&TWS. If not then people will forget about it, no harm no foul. Advertising it like this and you're just setting yourself up for another Ralph Boner.

What the f*** was up with that It was a case of people reading more into Teyonah Parris' reaction to the guy interviewing her's speculation who the engineer friend would be. The interviewer - like most of us - was throwing out names like Reed Richards, Blue Marvel, and Hank McCoy. Her response was "I can't wait to see your reaction when you find out who it is," which when watched on video was clearly in an "Oh boy, you guys are really making a bigger deal out of this and it's hilarious for me" kind of way. When other sites picked it up, they just posted the quote, so it seemed to confirm that the reveal would be a big deal. This came on the heels of Paul Bettany's joke about working with a mystery actor that turned out to be himself, and was followed by Elizabeth Olsen's teasing of a "Luke Skywalker-like" cameo, so at a certain point the cast just decided they'd start f***ing with people, to the point where Kevin Feige actually had to announce some spoilers ahead of the finale because the speculation had gotten out of hand. |

Let's hope this show is actually good. To me, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier each have had great moments, but they don't feel like good, cohesive TV shows, nor good, cohesive MCU movies. They're very much less than the sum of their parts, even after factoring in how COVID-19 affected these productions.

Yeah, shill's gonna shill. If they actually like it, more power to them, but they say the same things about the MCU all the time. They can never do any wrong in their eyes. I know my tastes, and I know Wandavision and Falcon had their misses as well as hits. At the end of the day, we need to put more stock in what we individually think and not the yes-man media.
