Double or Nothing is on May 30th. I still don’t see an obvious Omega challenger on this PPV. Does Tony Khan go Forbidden Door on this one? Or will it be one of the following: Kingston? Not feeling it. Christian? Not feeling it. Miro? I would love it but it’s not happening. Omega/Moxley in some sort of loser leaves town (for now) match or Omega/Christian are the most likely candidates, IMO.

Why not?

If I had to put my chips in the middle of the table I would put them on Forbidden Door challenger...but I would need some long good odds. I don’t see an obvious match as of May 5th.

Like, it isn't exactly a massive match like Omega/Hangman will be but there's a lot you can play within the weeks they have left and considering how great the PAC match was last year, it'll be a fun watch for sure.

This feels like a horrifically bad idea, but it's Florida so no shock.

AEW usually likes debuts or surprises at PPVs, but a full capacity show? Someone big is gonna show up here. Joe's No Compete isn't up yet alone with the other releases, the ultimate dream would be Danielson right now obviously Realistically, Andrade would be a big one as would a big New Japan talent.

Very, very good point. OC beating Penta and Page losing definitely puts OC in play.

Andrade is going to take on Omega at Triplemania and even if AAA didn't have a partnership with AEW, he's still technically a free agent. So it could happen.

You can easily do Omega/Cage either next week (since they're stacking the show anyway, might as well) or even after DoN with either way leading to Cage leaving Team Taz and you have OC put up a valiant effort and at least show he can hang in that scene if the opportunity came up so you can slot him in for, say, an MJF if and when he wins or someone else.

This feels like a horrifically bad idea, but it's Florida so no shock. After seeing a lot of states even north beginning to lift restrictions outside of the masks completely in May, full venue events like NASCAR, UFC (Which was indoor), and The Texas Rangers baseball games and others looking ready to follow, and even as recently as The NFL Draft, which seemed to have quite a lot of people at the event masked up and not spaced out, I think AEW having a 5000 capacity event at Daily's is realy just going with the flow. I'm sure they'll enforce some rules as well but Florida isn't the only state doing this kind of stuff anymore, the US is opening up more and more.

Yeah, good point. A pretty solid top three for Double or Nothing probably looks like: Stadium Stampede 2: Hangman and DO vs. Hardy Family Office AEW Title: OC vs. Omega Christian Cage vs. Brian Cage I think that's enough to get people in the door. I am already hearing of people wanting to travel for it, so...

I just don't see how they can put it off anymore. Mania, UFC, so many people being vaxxed, I just can't see how they can keep pushing it to some other date. June? July? I would go, wear a mask, and hope no one touches me with their germs. You don't see how they could put it off anymore? Why? I get that people want to return to normal life, but opening shit up at full capacity doesn't help with the virus at all. We've waited this long. We can't wait like 4-6 more months for way more people to have been vaccinated? I would also like to add that just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD. Also, I won't even risk getting a disease from sex. I'm damn sure not risking getting a disease from going to a f***ing wrestling show.

Yo, Question:
The f*** happens with those of us who bought tickets for DON in Vegas back before this stupid f***ing virus ruined everything? My friends opted not to get refunds and AEW I recall said the other option was they’d be held for whenever things opened up again
Does that apply to this?

Also, I won't even risk getting a disease from sex. I'm damn sure not risking getting a disease from going to a f***ing wrestling show. Let me just say first, I'm in complete agreement with you. We should be waiting and heck, we should only now be thinking about even having wrestling back never mind crowds back but, you know...stuff happened. But the problem comes when inevitably, someone went first with organising events of this nature which was the Super Bowl along with the fact the case rate was lower than expected (somewhere in the 40s or something? Could be wrong there) so when someone of that stature does it first, of course, others are going to think about trying it themselves, unfortunately. Mostly because the powers that be and the people funding them will go "Well, they can do it here and it'll be fine, why can't we?" which lead to WrestleMania, UFC and the MLB and other sports organisation planning their own plans with more domino-ing until we get where we are now, rightly or wrongly. Like, look, I live in a country where we're not likely to have any kind of events again until July and that only will happen if cases go down, vaccine supply does not slow down (which, credit to our government, it actually hasn't and, extremely long story short, that's surprising) and we don't suddenly decide to ramp up opening when it doesn't make sense to do so. People might talk about "giving people hope" but you can't do that when the last time it did, lead to us being locked down until last month (which is why I'm surprised vaccines are going as well as they are). The trouble is, a lot more factors are in play in a country as big as America then they would ever be in our little nation of Ireland.

They sent emails saying all Vegas tickets were canceled and that refunds would be issued.

Since we're getting better about vaccines, I would do it but A. make masks mandatory and B. If you show your proof of vaccination at the gate, you get a free voucher for merch. Win-win.

I'm firm in my belief that until we get to 70% of the population vaccinated, that nothing is safe, infections will continue and outbreaks may worsen. This is irresponsible in my opinion.
