Damn! RIP to a legend. His turn on and program with Hogan is one of my earliest wrestling memories.

RIP. Enjoyed him being a rival and ally to Hogan. Praying for his family and friends during this difficult time.

R.I.P. Mr Wonderful. One of my earliest wrestling memories as a child was Orndorff turning on Hogan in 1986.

RIP glad I got to meet him in 2019 although he didn’t seem to know where he was then.

Awful to hear. It's crazy that at Mania 30 they had a Mania 1 main event reunion segment and now both Piper and Orndorff are dead just seven years later.

I should have readied myself for this obviously, but still stings. (I hope the people who say Terry is okay are correct, as his situation brought to mind seeing Paul in that video. And they were both in WCW's Old Age Outlaws :-( )
The Orndorff turn on Hogan was the first turn of any kind of my fandom. After Bundy, may have been the first major Hogan feud I would get to see too.
RIP, you know he is so wonderful, and we all know it too.

You forgot Perfect too. It's crazy that almost all everyone that was in the Heenan Family including Heenan himself are no longer with us. Adonis and Missing Link were also briefly managed by Brain in 85 before they were traded to Jimmy Hart for Bundy in a 2 for 1 deal. If I'm not mistaken the only ones left are Barbarian, Haku, and Tama. Off the top of my head, we still got Brooklyn Brawler, Terry Taylor, and (briefly) Sivi Afi. Rest in power to an unsung legend of the sport The Brain Busters too. Still, it's like, the 80s seem like only yesterday*, why's everyone gone now? * - Well 41 years ago, tops. Which answers my own question.

Mr. Wonderful almost never comes up in discussions among greatest heels but, he should. The man was a natural heat machine.
And he had one of the best piledrivers of all time. An undisputed legend. R.I.P.

Gonna be some tributes tonight and on Wednesday I imagine. Paul was still very beloved in the industry and this is a sad loss
I always loved when he came out during Hogan's Birthday on RAW, Cody in his Stardust gimmick marked out like he was 12 years old again.

In all seriousness, RIP.

RIP
Unfortunately his son pretty much made it public that it was only a matter of time, once he was able to bring him home from that medical facility. At least he is no longer suffering.

Like I said, this makes me think of Terry Funk too, and I hope the messages from Tommy, Ric, and others aren't just denial and he is as okay as you can ask for right now. I also noted him and Paul were in the Old Age Outlaws stable in WCW, which made the news of both eerie.

Our thoughts are with his family.
Still one of the best heel turns I've ever seen.

I knew it was probably going to be soon, but still sucks to hear about. Gonna play that WCW theme in his honor.

His run with Hogan doesn’t get talked about enough. Probably one of the best heel turns and storylines they ever did. A great slow burn where Orndorff was getting needled by the heels and he thought he was right in turning on Hogan because he didn’t answer his phone call. It wasn’t just a turn to do a turn. The motivations were perfect.

RIP Mr. #1derful. One of my favorites. Shame that he didn’t get to stick around through the entire 80s boom. One of my favorite wrestling skits is Orndorff as. Personal trainer at the gym f***ing with his clients.
Hopefully Vince will pay for his funeral since it seems that his son needs donations.

R.I.P. And in a bit of irony, in Kayfabe, his career ended because of a Piledriver at the hands of Arn & Flair and all three worked with Heenan. RIP to a Legend.

Van Zant’s “I’m a Fighter”, which Paul briefly used in the summer of 1985. RIP to a fighter indeed.
