Soooo...how soon until the Clerks 4 rumors start? About that...might want to see the movie first haha {Spoiler}Dante does turn up as a ghost at the end, and Becky appeared to him throughout as one. Clerks 4 can easily be about Randall slowly losing himself to grief similar to how Dante coped with Becky, and Dante can hang over him maybe trying to remind him not to take it out Elias

Just finished watching this off of a screener in my apartment so I didn't get a Kevin Smith intro/outro or crowd experience.
It picks up once Randall's in the hospital and there's some unexpectedly powerful stuff. Most of the time the meta stuff and the callbacks work (the ones I didn't like were largely in the trailer) but wow the level of traumatic agony Smith ventures into felt like a lot from his actors.
I'm still wrapping my head around it to figure out how I feel, but I'm glad I watched it. I very strongly disliked Clerks 2, and this was far more enjoyable to me than that. Additionally, I'm confident in saying this is the most I've enjoyed one of Smith's films since 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.'
Loved hearing Mega Ran on the soundtrack too. And Amy Sedaris as a doctor was the highpoint for me, but I love anything and everything Amy Sedaris does.

I saw it...I enjoyed it. Like others have said, much, much more dramatic than any of the previous Clerks films. The beginning reveal was a shock. The ending I had a decent feeling what was going to happen, not sure I'm entirely happy with it, but it's a good movie. {Spoiler}Does anyone think there's meant to be any more to the reveal of Milly being the new milk maid? I mean, in the ViewAskeniverse? Was the original her grandmother in that universe? Or is it just, originally it was Kevin's mom, we all know that, now it's Kevin's daughter and we all know that and the meaning is just life goes on?

Walked by Harley Quinn yesterday at Disney’s California Adventure. Too bad her pops wasn’t with her.

Has it been released to Vudu yet? I keep seeing a pre-order option but it will not let me pre-order.

I really enjoyed it. It’s far from a perfect movie but the strong stuff more then covers for the weaker stuff. There are a few jokes that are super “inside baseball” but they don’t really detract from the movie.

Like Randall wearing heavy makeup in one scene.
I must say, I did enjoy the gag, that even though they own a legal dispensary now, Jay and Silent Bob still sell weed standing out front

I enjoyed it, though I echo that it wasn't the strongest in the series. A lot heavier than I expected it to be. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} The reveal that Becky is dead in the beginning and having to see Dante grieve was bad enough, but having Dante die in the end was a gut punch. Though I do give them credit, because there's a decent amount of foreshadowing I went to see it on Thursday. No intro or anything as I live in UK and all that, but I do wonder about the point you brought up: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Was killing off Dante in the end his way of bringing it to an end in a full circle way by doing what he planned to do in the original Clerks? I know they reference this earlier in the film when shooting "InConvenience" but maybe I'm reading too mucn into that. To go back a bit earlier in the film was anyone thinking/expecting {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The bit where they're talking in the storeroom to lead into a nod to the Animated series where they get stuck and what follows is a fake clip show? And finally, Jason Mewes' teeth weirded me out. I know he had to have new teeth because of years of drug abuse, but they looked a little but too big for his mouth. I'm still glad he's clean these days, though.

Watched it tonight
Had a couple of moments but you can tell it’s a product of Smiths brush with death. Personally prefer more comedy in my Clerks movies but it is what it is

Based on the ending alone, I think it sucks ass, and is proof Kevin Smith is now a talentless old man struggling to do what used to come naturally.

Honestly, I thought the ending was probably the best part. The first hour was standard Kevin Smith fare which, after nearly 30 years, is wearing pretty thin. The ending dipped a little into Lifetime territory, but I think just about kept on the right side of the line. {Spoiler}Overall, though, it was depressing as f***. Killing off Becky and her unborn daughter, having Dante unable to process or let go of his grief for 15 years, having a heart attack right after brutally ending his friendship with Randall, and then having him die without properly reconciling.

Though Jeff Anderson appearing in any more movies is never a sure thing.
I must say, having Jay and Silent Bob selling weed outside, even though they own a legal shop was a touch of genius

Gripes about money notwithstanding he's always been a reluctant actor, even in the movie he directed. Dude's 52 now, and at the rate Smith gets around to Clerks sequels I don't see him wanting to come back when he's 70.
