I think an issue this is quickly going to run into is it being hard to stretch the premise into multiple seasons worth of content without just getting insanely repetitive. Even if you just go balls-to-the-wall stupid with it you'd still be having to use a lot of the same tropes week in and week out. I don't think they've confirmed/planned past a first season. Also, each season doesn't have to have the same setup. It could be like the Chucky movies where the story continues, but not always focusing on the same people. The seasons can basically be 8 hour movies like American Horror Story or something.

Heads up to fans of this or people who missed it:
SyFy put up an extended 55 minute of the first spisode free on YouTube.
Didn't watch it yet so don't know how different it is.

Do these episodes actually feature Chucky and not just the occasional cameo whilst unrelated short-stories happen instead?
Yes, Nightmare on Elm Street series, I am talking about you. Still mad years later.

Don is a great guy who is not afraid to try new and interesting things so I can't wait to see where this series goes.

I never knew until the first episode retrospective afterwards that the Child's Play films show Don Mancini's life experiences through most of the character backstory (which is, I assume, the reason Mancini wouldn't hand over the reigns of Child's Play, and didn't endorse the remake, which was decent in its own way, but Child's Play is not just a franchise for Mancini, it's his child, it's his life both nearly figuratively and literally). That being said, I loved it, and Mancini is doing Chucky the way he loves to, putting his life experience into the personal issues and character growth of Jake Wheeler, and he is finally getting to truly devote screen time to letting us get to know Charles Lee Ray. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}First, Chucky vomiting...well...that's another bodily function we know he's capable of as a doll (I'm looking at you, Seed of Chucky)
Second, I like the idea of making the audience kind of root for Chucky as he "somewhat" protects Jake, which makes me wonder why. Yes, we saw this briefly at the end of Cult where Chucky kills the doctor for trying to assault Nica, after successfully transferring his soul, so we know that even Charles Lee Ray has some morals that even he won't tolerate.
Third, the lady in the red jacket at the start of the episode is in fact Tiffany, and it's clear she isn't searching for the Chucky doll, meaning she most likely left it, and this is either one stop along the route of spreading CLR in Chucky dolls across the country, or the more likely scenario, considering the series takes place in Hackensack, Chucky's backyard/hometown, there's clearly much more to the why, as we'll see as the series goes on.
Finally, did I see Andy and who I'm presuming to be Kyle (I couldn't see exactly who it was during one of the trailers) dressed in black suits with guns, akin to Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction?

Really fun show. Made me laugh a few times, especially Chucky's disguise.

It sounds like this show more than makes up for how (IMO) terrible Seed of Chucky was. Excellent!

It sounds like this show more than makes up for how (IMO) terrible Seed of Chucky was. Excellent! Ironically, episode 2 made a reference to SOC, and Glen/Glenda. I am wondering if Lexie {Spoiler}has survived thus far because they are setting up a face turn for her, where her and Jake have to team up to stop Chucky? I wonder if it'll end up being two-on-two if Chucky does persuade her sister to the dark side? Fan service option: or 2-on-2 with Tiffany joining in? Isn't Jennifer Tilly slated to be part of the show?

Great episode. Really enjoying the mixture of suspense and actually seeing the characters feeling like they are losing their minds while Chucky basically acts like murder is natural

What was the bleeped out word? Considering the show has unbleeped f-bombs, it must have been really bad.

Im gonna be pissed if Lexi survives the season. She's so reprehensible She really comes off like a character that feels like even if she does a lot of good things during the season it's gonna be really hard to forget how much of an irredeemable dick she'd been up to this point. It's pretty bad when you're rooting for the psycho serial killer doll to kick your ass. On another note David Kohlsmith looks so much like a baby Brad Dourif that I thought it was his grandson or something lmfao
