Can hardly wait to see that ventriloquist scene.

I will say the CG is a bit iffy in places, but otherwise it looks great for a TV version of Child's Play.

Right after I made a post about how not many non-streaming shows interest me these days...

I thought Cult of Chucky took the series off the rails and I know this is in the same universe but I'll watch this one. Seems like it could be fun.

Man Chucky's face changed shapes about 40 times during that but it sure looked fun.

So as this just started gotta say I am a bit sad that this is not apparently not directly following up Cult of Chucky which I thought was f***ing great with such an intriguiging cliffhanger and also mid credits scene.

I think an issue this is quickly going to run into is it being hard to stretch the premise into multiple seasons worth of content without just getting insanely repetitive. Even if you just go balls-to-the-wall stupid with it you'd still be having to use a lot of the same tropes week in and week out.

Was thinking the same thing but everyone seems so vain and in this weird elm street style self arrogance that they may be able to string it out a bit

So had to go back and just refresh myself with the end of Cult.
And I forgot that there was one Chucky that did survive so that would explain how he ends up at a garage sale to start this show.
So okay I am mistaken and this perfectly works as a direct follow up to how that ends.

Still just mind boggling that we are doing this in Middle School...Maybe a way to try to normalize the doll in school mantra some kids may still hold onto? No clue. If it was just the artist thing they could have made him older. The talent show was still hilarious and even more so because of what he said to a bunch of middle schoolers lol

Still time to do an episode where Chucky invades a wrestling show.

Great to see that Brad Dourif can still pull off the Chucky voice at 71.

I think my favorite part of Cult of Chucky was when they got that other Chucky doll that has his hair cut for some reason, I don't even remember why his hair was cut but there he is just another Chucky doll there but with a stupid haircut.

That was an extra doll that Andy had at home that he sent to the institute with a gun smuggled inside it's chest so he could sneak in a weapon. I don't think it explained why Andy had it or why it had a short haircut though. Unless I missed something from previous movies that I forgot.
