I got something that's made me angry and now know a way to put it in words. The modern day philosophy that anything you make has no worth or is not considered "good content" if enough people don't see or notice it. I think there's too much of this idea that you have to have clicks and views in order to find worth with what you do. Yes, eyes on your product or whatever is nice and it helps when it feels like something you are doing is something that is getting notices, but it should not be a substitute to just enjoying something you like to do. I see so many good and creative content creators I follow have fell into this trapped mindset thinking views and clicks mean absolutely everything and it's such a freaking letdown when it happens. I consistently seeing "I'm just not enjoying what I'm doing anymore" from content creators when I think the truth is "What I'm doing is not getting numbers/money and because of this, I don't enjoy what I'm doing anymore", with the idea that their happiness and worth is entirely based on numbers they bring and how much it makes them.
If it makes a living, then I get it, but it's so easy to see who's putting in the work to make what they do vs who wants to just make a quick buck and clickbait and exploit their way to the top. I honestly think like 85% of the content creators I have followed I no longer follow because of this or just move on to something else because they are not getting the numbers, cash or views. Greed changes people. Happiness should not be measured by numbers and views. Happiness should be measured by the amount of joy and life something brings to you. It just feels like no one realizes that anymore and so many creative ideas and dreams have died or will die because they think viewership is not the most important thing, but the only thing. |

So, the psychiatrist I have scheduled an appointment ended up leaving the hospital and now I'll have a current one on a new date. Since 2016, every psychiatrist I have had ended up being short term and left out of sudden. Of two of them, the longest period of time was three years each one. Man, I don't know if this is a recurrent theme with psychiatrists but I'm tired of starting over again with a new one. Had a similar issue close to 10 years ago. New group took over the local mental health office. So I get a new therapist. Nice lady see her every 15 days. After 2 visits I show up for my next one get told she got moved to a different office and I will have a new therapist. And get told a new date to show up. New guy is great. See him maybe 8 times ,same every 15 days,and show up and guess what he got moved they didnt tell me and got a new person. This one I saw once and we didnt agree on something. Would be skirting board rules to even vaguly hint at the issue,just it wasn't political at all. So I tell them to not bother seeing up the next appointment. Know someone else going to same place. they are getting a new therapist at lest 2 times a year. Only good thing is same place I see my doctor. He is great. Had him for over 10 years. I imagine the rollercoaster of having tons of psychiatrists in very short time. I'm glad you got it sorted out. |

Headed outside to drive to work Monday night and I was boxed in by my neighbour. They appeared quickly and say "oh sorry were you able to get in?" I told them "actually, I'm trying to get out".They moved the car quickly, but it's more the fact that this isn't the first time it's happened. It's not even the fifth time it's happened. I'm in a townhouse complex, so there are several parking spots beside each other. What pisses me off is they park in front of their actual spot. They're five feet away from their actual parking spot that would take two extra seconds to pull into. No, instead they'll just park in a spot that blocks 3 other people.

I've seen it a few times today, customers being vague and not describing their issues clearly (perhaps on purpose) and then getting angry at me for asking reasonable questions in return

I read on my TL on BlueSky that the Internet Archive is in danger of something bad happening to it because of a group of butthurt jabronies named Hatchette. And all because a few years earlier, a no-talent hack of a writer named Chuck Wendig bitched about how the Internet Archive was promoting piracy or some stuff.
Both Hatchette & Wendig can go F’ themselves for doing this (And I don’t care if Wendig went back on his decision, he started it and the blood is all on his hands).

Had to rush home from work early because my son has been throwing up all day. Here in the ER and at least he’s feeling a lot better after throwing up on me.
