I got charged twice for a shirt and no email confirmation. I'm gonna cry in the shower. That happened to me as well. I’ve dropped a message to them to hopefully get it sorted. At least you’re not the only one!

In a week where a crowd of 5000 sang an acapella rendition of "Judas" for Chris Jericho due to the audio track being "forbidden", somehow that still ends up being the SECOND most-memorable entrance of the week.
I've watched Punk's arrival to AEW on repeat. The goosebumps come every time. Right company. Right atmosphere. Right time.

Both videos--one of which is five minutes of Living Color playing over a man trying not to cry--are over a million views now. I've watched both like three times. This is unlike anything I've ever seen. No return has ever been so awash in emotion and catharsis like this. People have come back after long layaways. Maybe some have come back to technically bigger pops. None of them carried the weight that this did. None of them were the live reconstruction of one person's love for what he does that this was. There's lots that can be said about what this means for AEW, what this'll mean in the future for them, what WWE let slip through their hands. This moment could well be major history for all those things, but nothing will ever outweigh the emotional magnitude and the uniqueness of that return as something that may never happen again. This hit with emotional impact that even Bryan, my all time favorite, announcing the end of his retirement, didn't have. This was transcendent. This was everything the beauty of pro wrestling can bring to the world in twenty straight minutes of pure feelings.

It was pretty much one of Wrestlings worst kept secrets at this time.
But its still a pretty damn awesome moment.
So unless I'm mistaken his last wrestling match would have been the 2014 Royal Rumble right?.
Look forward to seeing him in the ring again.

Just a thought as I watch his entrance again. You know for the shit people will give wrestling or try and be snide and say it "Isn't cool" or "Lol that's fake". You know... garden variety bullshit?
Over 14K People sold out an arena off the prospect of a man simply walking out there and talking to them at 10PM EST. Announcing his return to said wrestling. Name me an Actor, Popular media figure or even a singular Sports Player who could sell out a venue that large just by walking out and simply talking to them for roughly 20 minutes in total. While there are some who probably could... I don't know if there are even a handful of WRESTLERS who have that kind of power.
And the wrestling company that is SUPPOSED to be the top one in the world and y'know... good at this? Against the vehement outcry from their own Network in FOX who is running one of their shows... simply didn't think he was a draw. They had their champion say he was "Never as popular as John Cena" during an interview the other day. All that for this to be the result... half a million tweets for AEW and Punk combined and counting. 2 Million views combined and counting for his entrance and his promo on Youtube. One of the coolest moments in the history of wrestling bar none to witness.
I don't know if you believe in karma... in what goes around comes around? But in the case of CM Punk and how he left wrestling to how he came back? It sure feels like some f***ing delicious karma... and frankly? You love to see it.

I find Punk to be somewhat overrated, but it was terrific seeing him out there.
Only thing missing was a self aware joke on his UFC tenure.

Punk's entrance vid on AEW's official channel closing in on 1.4 million views already. His promo is slightly over 1.4 million as I type this.
I know Punk's main event run in WWE was only essentially 3 years (2011-13) but he was clearly one of the biggest wrestling stars of the 2010's, and I don't think that can be denied at this point.

Watched Rampage this morning, that was awesome, I'd previously said I hoped they'd save it until the end but there's no way that would have worked, that crowd was too hyped.
Going to keep my AEW pass going at least through All Out, have to say I'm really enjoying the overall product on a consistent basis now and the last time I felt like that about wrestling was maybe 2006-08 Ring of Honor.

Checking in on view counts
Entrance: 1.4 Million Views
Promo: 1.5 Million Views
AEW: 315K Tweets
CM Punk: 203K Tweets
AEW and CM Punk are still in the top three overall trends of the world.
Just wanna remind folks... Bryan Danielson hasn't even shown up yet like is being reported too... let alone who else might. And they did this on Rampage at 10PM. It's absolute insanity the madness that could still be yet to come... and god do I love it!

I've watched AEW mostly in clip form since it started. I haven't put a huge amount of time into it, and it's tough to follow time-wise from the UK.
BUT - I think this is the moment for me to pitch in. This was incredible.
I'm so happy to see him happy and back.

I feel like people have had their words but I’ll say what I said in the show thread.
There were so many ideas about how you could do it, have MJF swerve people first, have him come out at the end after a Darby promo, have him interrupt a QT, help the faces from an ambush from 2.0 and Garcia, logical pro wrestling sort of booking.
The moment he came out, looking like he was about to cry, fans cheering their heads off and going mad…there wasn’t any other way to do it. There just wasn’t. As pointed out, he looked like a man who finally let his anger past and was ready to have one last real run in a top promotion.
Do the pro wrestling nonsense on Wednesday, build up the match with Darby, have Serpentico take a GTS after being thrown in by Luther, whatever you can think of. None of those would have had me shaking the same way as I did on Friday.
