That production director would be one hell of an MMO raid leader, damn.
Also that Don Callis/Christian bit was hilarious.

There was no reason to show things from the production side but I’m glad for it because, man, you could tell the glee when they got some of that just right. In contrast when they missed the cut and the camera on the ramp walked into the screen, their reaction was just as good, particularly the bald guy second from right. What a high-pressure job.

I’ll put that in the All Out thread but if that’s in any way true, props for them taking a line from Jericho on commentary and running with it for this angle. Just adds a bit more context to this whole thing.

I'm glad they showed it from the production's team perspective. Shows you how hectic things are in that booth, but also shows how rewarded those guys felt when everything worked out according to plan. Seeing that was priceless.

That view from the production truck was fascinating. It was great to see all of the guys in there getting excited over the debut and nailing the shots, as well. AEW's production isn't always perfect, but they hit it out of the park on Punk's debut so I'm glad they're getting some recognition there.
The Christian and Callis bit was fun, too! I love seeing old footage like that and it's great when AEW gets people from outside AEW to talk about things. Just gives everything more depth.

God I can't imagine working in a production truck with Kevin Dunn yelling three times as many numbers at you.

CM Punk could’ve been in there next to the man with three billiard balls in his mouth if the Guinness people were sending sound guys to wrestling shows. "Big deal. So he's sold a lot of the same shirt, but has he released as many shirts as John Cena? No? Small timer."

I just saw a clip of Cornette commenting on the debut on YouTube and he was basically like "yeah that was basically perfect" which says a lot about how good that segment was given, well, everything about Jim and AEW.

Not just Cornette, but people who aren't fans of AEW themselves are even giving the segment major props. It's one of the rare moments in professional wrestling where fans are putting their differences aside and appreciating a moment for what it truly is, and what it means. You love to see it.

Reminds me of Brodie's death. Kinda weeds out the people who truly give a shit about wrestling and who are just here for the wrong reasons...

Man, having Mark Henry on the poster just feels weird. They could have at least counterbalanced him with a shirtless flexing Jim Ross in place of PAC. You think Mark looks weird, look at f***ing QT in the corner looking like “..yeah, I don’t know why I’m on here either..” I just saw a clip of Cornette commenting on the debut on YouTube and he was basically like "yeah that was basically perfect" which says a lot about how good that segment was given, well, everything about Jim and AEW. Cornettes response was great and earnest and just makes the Booker thing look even stupider in comparison.

Being a Mass Communication major, this was awesome to watch. I've been at that board and wow is it stressful. The director position especially was awful for my anxiety. Was too cool to watch that and recognize all the language and stuff. Damn that just made his whole return all that much more special. I work on the board at my church. We have 5 cameras to switch through during worship and that's stressful enough. I cannot even imagine having to properly switch through 10 cameras.

When they got that crying fan and the guy said "Good shit!". Like they knew how important that shot was going to be... and look what it's turned into for the moment and the guy. Production means a lot.

God I can't imagine working in a production truck with Kevin Dunn yelling three times as many numbers at you. guess what, you don't have to imagine it! I remember watching this version before I saw the actual episode back in the day. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTGDXN5jxUoAlso, rewatching the Bucks/Kenny/Cody/Cole Q&A from early 2017, and Matt says "I text with Punk every now and then and I've told him when you're ready to come back, please let me know. I wanna work with him so bad." so Punk/Bryan vs. The Bucks please and thank you.
