After watching The Green Knight, I have a scorching hot take... Most A24 movies are boring as f*** and I'm convinced most people love them so they can appear smarter or more 'artsy' by doing so. Uncut Gems and Ex Machina are both legitimately compelling watches with tons to recommend about them. Midsommar, Good Time, Moonlight and Lady Bird I’d also recommend. If you liked Oscar Isaac in Ex Machina, check him out in A Most Violent Year. Him and Jessica Chastain are excellent in it, plus it’s hella suspenseful.

If so that one is great.

Anton Yelchin dying is a huge blow to the film industry that people don’t really think of.

Madonna is a better actress than she’s given credit for. Nowhere near like top tier, but she was notably good in Evita.

Rogue One is my least favorite Star Wars movie. I see so many say it’s one of the best or their favorite of the “Disney “ era. However the fact that I don’t feel connected to the main characters and there or no lightsaber fights (my favorite in the series) makes it not as high up for me (still a good movie though).
Winter Soldier is my least favorite Captain America movie, when I see so many say it’s the best or possibly one of the best MCU. Other than having Cap and being a superhero movie, it feels like a generic spy/action movie.
First Averngers movie from 2012 is overrated and mostly remembered for being the first movie with a whole bunch of superhero’s together (Infinity War and Endgame both far surpassed it).
Zombie movies/shows are too overdone and the most overrated genre. I did NOT like the new zombie themed What If? Episode, and I mostly enjoy that show too.
Avatar is overrated and mostly remembered for the pretty Forrest and 3D elements.
The first Matrix movie is the only good Matrix movie, and even that is a tad overrated. Resurrection trailer does make that one seem interesting though.

Once upon a time in Hollywood would be a much more compelling film if it dropped the bulk of the Sharon Tate scenes.
I'll agree with that. I mean, did the movie need that long scene where she introduces herself to a movie theater staff then sits down to watch The Wrecking Crew? And even then, she was only in the movie for what, 15 minutes of a movie that's nearly three hours long?
Cut it down to just a few moments to establish that she and Roman Polanski live next door to Leonardo DiCaprio's character, and it wouldn't have affected the story in the slightest.

It was supposed to be a “what if Tate got to enjoy her day as normal” story, but it kinda limits what Margot Robbie can do because she’s playing such a mild mannered character, while Leo and Brad get to do all the fun things.

Last Crusade is a half assed rehash of Raiders with an extra helping of Spielberg daddy issues.
Temple of Doom is a god damn cinematic masterpiece.

Heath Ledger is the third best Joker after Jack and Mark. (Who are basically interchangeable at 1 and 2)

James Cameron is a hack. And has only made one film ,that wasn't ripped off from other stuff, worth seeing. That film is The Abyss.
Kinda related to that. Terminator 1 and 3 are better movies than the turd that is T2.

I actually like Armageddon. It's dumb as dirt, but still a fine spectacle. And I even enjoy the corny Aerosmith song.
Pride of the Yankees is kinda boring. Moneyball, Fear Strikes Out and the first two Major Leagues are way more interesting baseball flicks.

Terminator 1 and 3 are better movies than the turd that is T2. A lot of these 'unpopular' opinions are in my experience things that would probably be considered as the consensus by most people who discuss film online. But THIS is a take that I don't think I've ever seen someone express online or in-person. Sure sometimes there's debate on if T1 or T2 is better, but to say T2 is a turd and T3 is better? Well done! An absolute unpopular movie opinion.

The 2007 TMNT movie is a better CGI TMNT than the entirety of the Nickelodeon 2012 series

Heath Ledger and Cesar Romero are the only good live action Jokers. I don't even like Jack Nicholson's version, Joaquin Phoenix' version bored me and it's probably not unpopular to say Leto flat out sucked ass. The day people stop trying to out-edgelord Heath's take is the day we might finally get a compelling Joker again.

Judge Dredd is a much more entertaining comic book movie than every MCU slogfest I've ever seen. Catchier scenery, catchier characters, catchier camp.

Saving Private Ryan, I thought had an incredible opening with the Normandy Beach Landings but the rest of the film I'd describe as good not exceptional
