Danny DeVito's 1995 movie about Jimmy Hoffa starring Jack Nicholson is so much better than The Irishman that it's crazy.
And I was more or less fine with Irishman, that's just how underrecognized a director Danny DeVito is.

Forrest Gump is terrible. It's nothing more than cringy baby Boomer nostalgia for two and a half hours.

I didn't even know how well-received Toy Story 4 was until today, so I guess my unpopular opinion is that it wasn't that good. It repeated a lot of things from the other movies, there weren't many funny moments, and there's just way too many toys now. Most of them can barely get a line, these days. But my main problem with it is that it just shouldn't, or doesn't, need to exist. 3 was perfect.

Spider-Man 3 is crowded and full of memes, but it was a great ending to the Rami films. It doesn’t deserve the hate it gets.
Spider-Man 2 you can start at the scene of Mary and Peter at the diner and miss nothing.

Isn't Green Room an A24 film? If so that one is great. It is. One I forgot about. Anton Yelchin dying is a huge blow to the film industry that people don’t really think of. Dude took an average film like Odd Thomas and made better than it had any right to be.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gets so much heat for both the fridge scene (for how no way Indy would have survived) and the aliens (for being stupid) yet the rest of the franchise has a mystical face melting box, Indy surviving falling out of a plane in an inflatable boat onto solid ice and snow, mystical voodoo priests, a man surviving his heart being ripped out and the holy grail I don’t get it I’m not saying it’s a good film as it’s eh whatever but Temple of Doom isn’t any better (I’d argue it’s worse because of Willy & Shortround) yet it never gets ragged on as much I enjoyed Nuke the Fridge. Does it make sense if you think about it for more than three seconds? No. But neither do the other films. I do the first twenty minutes of crystal skull till he’s picked up by the us government is some of the best stuff in the entire franchise.

Jaws The Revenge isn’t entirely bad. It still has some pretty terrifying scenes in it. The first Jaws is a classic. Two is the worst film. It’s a dull retread of the first movie with after school special screaming in every scene. The last ten minutes is good and probably has the best Jaws death in the entire series. 3D & Revenge are some the best so bad their good films ever made. They both had original ideas yes a lot of it is cheesy but there’s also some of the best scares in the entire series.

ALien is a classic sci fi horror and amazing
Aliens is a crappy 80s era action movie that just sucks.
Alien3 is a damn good film and still not sure why it is hated.

ALien is a classic sci fi horror and amazing Aliens is a crappy 80s era action movie that just sucks. Alien3 is a damn good film and still not sure why it is hated. Aliens is a scarier film because they go in with a whole lota space marines who have been trained specifically to fight, kill and defend. Yet they were no match for the xenomorphs. Growing up in the USA you're taught that the military will protect you that when shit hits the fan they'll be there to clean it up. So seeing that fail seeing Hudson broken saying "game over man" you know things have completely been f***ed. Seeing them fail shows you just how deadly the xenomorphs are, it shows you why Weyland-Yutani is wrong in thinking they could ever control them. Alien is a classic no argument but the Nostromo is a commercial ship so its understandable why 1 Alien would be difficult for them. It's relatable in that aspect as most people aren't trained to fight but the Space Marines are that's why it terrifying

Infinity War's only memorable part is the ending. Nothing else about it has any semblance of a plot.

Falling Down is smarter than people like to claim. I think it’s crazy obvious D-Fens is the villain, they even say so at the end. It’s got the Fight Club/Joker stigma where some people relate to the protagonists a bit too much, and even then it’s not like those movies are gonna rot everyone’s brains or something.
Here’s another Infinity War related one I know folks will disagree with: I was fine with Star Lord’s thought process. Thanos was playing his emotions like Eddie Van Halen on the “Eruption” track. It didn’t come off to me like the hero was dumb, more so that the villain was just that good a manipulator.

I guess I'll add another...
The Halloween series should've ended with Halloween 2018. It was the perfect ending to the series.

Not only do I like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull more than Temple of Doom, but Temple of Doom is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The Deer Hunter is slow, dull and a tad overrated. Scarface is overblown, overlong and very overrated.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty clear message of "We've ALL had days like this, and wanted to lash out but this guy takes it to the extreme"

I've never seen Forrest Gump. This just seems like a strange criticism.

There's a lot of films like this where like the main charecters are kind of evil sociopaths but they are charismatic so some dudes miss the message. I remember Michael Douglas saying in an interview that many guys have come up to him and said they wanted to become a stockbroker after seeing Wall Street.
