I'm super excited to see Top Gun Maverick and am getting super pissed it keeps getting pushed back in theaters How is that an unpopular opinion?

I feel that Michael Bay gets too much shit as a director. I think that most of it comes from the Transformers films because I am certain that's what comes to mind when it comes to Michael Bay.
Sure, I had heard that Bay was shit on before Transformers, if the South Park jokes weren't of any indication, whether talking about Armageddon or Pearl Harbor (I think that could have also been a factor; still haven't seen it). But there are movies that I have enjoyed of his.
Bad Boys Bad Boys II The Rock The Island Pain & Gain 13 Hours 6 Underground
I feel that I should give Armageddon another watch. I might finally watch Pearl Harbor soon. As for the Transformers films, I would say that the odd-numbered films were the better ones. Revenge of the Fallen and Age of Extinction, I wasn't a fan of those two.

Friday the 13th (the original) is just so boring. A truth bomb that Bart dropped in a Tree House of Horror episode almost 30 years ago

The worst Friday the 13th is part 9 Jason goes to hell; after the first scene where the United States government obliterates Jason its all downhill boring kills, boring story, boring characters, you rarely see Jason since he's body snatching and the worst part is the stupid bloodline bs. It's funny because my unpopular opinion is that I think Jason Goes to Hell is underrated. I think it's pretty frequently listed as the worst in the franchise. It's such a weird ass movie, but at least it take some chances in freshening things up. It also finally gives us a glimpse into Jason's impact on the town of Crystal Lake itself and the country at large instead of him just being the stuff of campfire tales.

Alien 3 is extremely underrated, and is my favorite Alien movie.

It's an alright movie but it's just not a Friday the 13th movie. Also the title is a lie but I guess "Jason is now a worm demon who possesses his family to return to life even though this has never been mentioned before also maybe he's gay?" doesn't really role off the tongue.

Usually the fan base has it somewhere in the middle with 10, 8 reboot and 5 fighting for last place which imo are some of the better one. Granted the fanbase loves pt3 and aside from Jason getting his signature item and a really fun 1980s 3D kill involving a harpoon gun its pretty forgettable.

John Cena is a better actor than The Rock.

Oh it's definitely gotten its share of vitriol. I don't think it's unpopular at all to call it the worst (though, to be fair, this honor could be shared by like 5 other movies in this franchise).

The Star Wars prequels, while flawed, are actually great movies and tell an excellent story. I don't know what generation you're a part of, but this is actually a fairly popular opinion among Star Wars fans in their late teens and 20's. They hate the sequels like my generation of fans hated the prequels. And ten-twenty years from now, the fans that grew up with and loved the sequels will get a louder voice in the fandom and hate any new movies that come out.
It's interesting for someone like me who sees merit in all nine of the mainline movies, even the worst ones. I guess that in itself is its own unpopular opinion.

The only good Nightmare on Elm Street films are 1,3, and New Nightmare (though 4 and 5 do have some memorable moments).

Jason takes Manhattan would be a huge fan favorite if you just change the name. Ngl it's a ton of fun seeing Jason on the high seas plus the 45ish min in NY is an absolute joy I once said that JASON TAKES MANHATTAN feels like an Italian FRIDAY THE 13TH knockoff that somehow snuck into the actual franchise. And I love it for that reason.

OK, now I'm interested in finding out how people rank the original F13 movies, best to worst, because I always thought 3 wasn't liked because it was just a retread of 2... I'd say 6, 4, 7, 1, 2, 8, 5, 3, 9, and haven't seen 10.

The Fugitive (1993) was a quality film. ...It is though. That's never been contested. The scene at the dam is genuinely one of the most iconic Harrison/TLJ moments of either man's career.
