I loathe Moxley's onscreen character and have since he debuted.
I like TH2 better than Private Party (or Butcher/Blade).
Of all of AEW's recent debuts, I marked hardest for Lulu Pencil. (But I still think Emi Sakura looks very stupid dressed up as a queen)

MJF actually is what folks try to say the Miz is, blatant limitations and all with a passionate fan base sticking up for even his most mediocre work. I wish I could give this 1,000 likes

I think MJF is very, very good on his best day but he's noticeably regressed. His material's way weaker than it was to start with, his delivery's weaker, he feels less important right now than he ever has, and in general he kind of just comes off like he's going through the motions.

I don't know if I'd say he's regressed, but I do think he's in a difficult position given Omega and the Elite kind of make the Pinnacle less of a big deal inherently by their nature. They blew their load a bit early with MJF, and it just kind of feels like Omega and Miro are just bigger deals than him, without any real explanation for why MJF hasn't been focusing on trying to get either of their titles.

I think his perception was hurt a lot by the Moxley feud. Basically the entire thing was him being played as a joke who was no threat to Mox at all and then when he did lose he was basically "protected" just by not having to lose to a non-finisher. The go-home show was basically the only time in that entire storyline where he didn't come off as completely outclassed.

And I think this is because AEW is kinda top-heavy with talent at the moment. I think Elite, Dark Order and Pinnacle can all co-exist, but logically only one of them should feel super-dominant at a given period.

I will just add that I've seen a lot of wrestlers in action up close and no one's offense has looked as real as Kenny's has. His V-Triggers at All Out looked like he was legit kneeing Christian's head off. Now I want to know whose looked like trash! To me, offense is only "trash" if the crowd doesn't care about it. The Hulk leg drop, Okada's Rainmaker and Cena's AA are simple finishers, but they're hella dramatic and memorable. If people respond to the comeback, you've got good attacks. I mean, I like the V-Trigger and OWA, but the goal of believability should mainly be kept to the story of the match. I'll take a fake-looking move like the Worm that makes fans go nuts over a stiff kick or head drop that feels routine amongst the usual indie-influenced style.

He gets too much mic time and is allowed to talk too long so his material is diluted. One great promo every few weeks is better than multiple weak ones. Made worse by a lack of clear goals. Eg Despite all the mic time he gets there hasn't been a segment with all of his stable to help tie things together. One segment could establish Pinnacle want to rid AEW of certain threats, he failed to retire Jericho so as a group turn their attentions to Sting but instead they don't feel connected to each other.

God, the MJF/Jericho saga sucked so much for so long that I could use a long, long break from both of them.

Not really what I was getting at but I think you can say something doesn't look great while still understanding its importance and effectiveness. Like, Hogan's boot usually looked weak, but it's a legendary part of the most legendary wrestler and you'd be the biggest moron in wrestling if you were trying to change it back then. But The Worm? What? The fist drop at the end always looked impactful!

I like Jericho on commentary.
I can't name a single move that MJF does. For all his promo skills (which I think are kinda overrated) I find he's not got much presence in the ring.

I don't know if this one's unpopular so much as rare, but
I'm not a very big fan of Kenny Omega, but I'm slowly coming around to him. The thing I always disliked about him was how, I don't want to say "I agree with Cornette", but there was always this underlying "hey mom look at me!" vibe to everything he did. Too flashy, too showy, too slick, too crisp.
But now? Aside from the fact that he busts his ass in the ring on a consistent basis, it seems like spending time with Don Callis has been good for him. He's settled down in the ring a little bit - not a ton, not enough to really change, but he's giving more of a vibe of being a pro wrestler now. He has actual wrestler swag instead of gym showoff swag (well not entirely, but he's moving in the right direction). Last time we did a FAN Roster Survey I voted Strongly Dislike on Omega, right now I'm mildly dislike leaning strongly towards neutral.

I don't have a problem with Taz going from Goofy Commentator to serious heel manager
I look at it like a Tony Soprano situation where at times he can be funny, charming, etc but when it's time to take care of business he's no nonsense
Even in real life, there's some hardcore Gangsters/Killers who are hilarious when they're not merking people.
I wasn't really familiar with Kenny Omega until AEW so I can see how he comes across as being kind of phony/over the top. That 1st year as a face I thought he was kind of bland, but after him and Page broke up his obviously disingenuous delivery and weasely looking face makes him a good heel

After watching for a few weeks I find that while their presentation is good. I don’t really find it much better then WWE. I think they have some great stuff but a ton of filler that bites me to tears.

I don't mind when they mention WWE and even think it should happen more often. They're still the giant elephant in the wrestling room, it's silly to pretend they don't exist.
