Jurassic Express would be better without Marko.

Funny that this is the most civil that discussion has been when discussing AEW downfalls & there was still an underlying tension that resulted in someone leaving And of all things, it was about data.

Jurassic Express would be better without Marko. It's not even Marko Stunt himself that's the problem, but he throws the big power guy/small acrobatic guy tag team dynamic out of balance. When it's them as a trio, it's a big power guy, a small acrobatic guy, and a... larger acrobatic guy in between the other two in size. And as the obvious breakout star to be, Jungle Boy deserves better than to be the awkward middle child.

Jurassic Express would be better without Marko. Marko and Paul Wight could make for a fun house show style tag team.

I really want Marko vs. Lesnar. That will probably never happened. I just feel like no one should sell his offence.

Going back to the earlier ratings discussion:
Ratings can be fun to discuss, especially when an upstart like AEW does a big number comparable to the established big dogs. But whether it's key demos or overall viewership, they're not that important anymore beyond adrates the networks can charge. It's sort of an industry-wide joke that everyone still buys into.

Oh, I'm all for more factions. I love the dynamics of members playing off each other, which is why I read mostly team-centric comics as a kid. Dragon Gate is not what it once was, but there was something great about how groups would form and change semi-regularly. There was a turn every few months, and the new faction would get a brief aura of invincibility. Somewhat repetitive at times, but I loved it. House of Black needs to be a thing ASAP, and AmDrag having a group of pure wrestlers under his wing like a MMA club would be great.

Unpopular opinions don't just have to be negative ones.
I love the Elite's schtick (apart from the Good Brothers—get rid of those guys, please) and trust them to get what's coming to them before their run on top finishes.
I think Jamie Hayter is awesome, and once she has a few more matches under her belt in AEW she could be a star of the women's division on par with Britt.
Rampage is the best wrestling show on TV. It might not be as appointment viewing as other shows, but I love the format of it and it's just a blast to watch. The split-screen interview before the main event is awesome. They just need to polish up the commentary a little (although I do think it's improved already from the first show.)

And Luchasaurus basically uses him as a living weapon in ways he simply does not for Jungle Boy so the Dynamic to me has been different enough. HOWEVER... I will still advocate for Marko Stunt/Paul Wight as a tag team with the exact same sort of principle. I also think it helps that until a Trios Title is actually made that Marko is usually the adjacent to Express and is only really used if the other one needs a break.

It's been said a few times here but Shawn Spears is pretty damn good. Especially this chair gimmick he has.

I don't mind people who worked at other promotions dropping references to them in their promos, it's not 'bush league', it's wrestling tradition and you know that for all the corporate veneer the WWE try to put on, all the ridiculous assertions they're not a wrestling company, they will start to make digs at AEW should they manage to poach talent or should their ratings continue to climb. I'm slightly afraid AEW are getting topheavy. They have a hell of a lot of main eventers and main eventers in waiting, it's going to be a difficult juggling act. Everything is fine, if done well. But the current trend of people coming in to say they are WRESTLERS, who are now going to be WRESTLING for a cheap pop is mega-lame. It also must be utterly confusing to casual fans.

Marko Stunt serves his purpose in Jurassic Express as a living weapon and as a fall guy for Jungle Boy without making Luchasaurus look like a chump. I've liked Scorpio Sky since his heel turn. Granted, the Gamer Scorpio meme helped a lot in this, but I've genuinely liked Men of the Year as a heel act. I like the Lucha Bros. more as a tag-team than as singles guys, and I like them a lot as singles guys. He's not championship material, but I think Shawn Spears has found a good niche for himself in AEW and is being used well. If Miro ever goes face, I want to see him bring back the goofy gamer persona. After Kenny Omega loses the AEW Championship, I wouldn't mind seeing some shorter reigns. Don't need to hot potato the title like the Attitude Era, but a quick succession of two-three month reigns could freshen up the scene a bit without necessarily sacrificing long-term storytelling. While I respect that AEW doesn't treat their audience like clueless idiots, they sometimes go too far in the other direction and assume everyone knows everything about the indies or international scene. Something simple like video packages could do a lot to introduce Japanese legends like Suzuki and Kojima to the segment of the audience that doesn't know who they are. Usually they have Excalibur on hand to nerd out about them, but his absence last week was noticeable.
I generally like the Good Brothers, even if Karl Anderson can be a schmuck at times.

I don’t like Judas and am over Jericho as a whole. Although weirdly didn’t mind him on commentary.
I like JR still. He’s not the same but I genuinely enjoy his callbacks and knowledge of wrestling history and think his voice adds some importance.
I mostly enjoy the Dan Lambert promos.
I roll my eyes every time Abaddon comes out.
All the factions and alliances kind of make it harder to follow and make it feel more inaccessible.

I hated Kenny Omega's cleaner entrance with the women with brooms, it just felt wrong to me. While I support all the open forbidden doors by and large, if closing one or two of them meant getting rid of the Good Brothers, I'd give it serious consideration. They're talented, but kind of remind me of Beavis and Butthead. Nyla Rose needs a face turn so she can display her sense of humour. They are already teasing of dumping the Good Brothers. The Impact partnership was a mistake for AEW more than Impact itself. If they utilized more people from Impact besides The Good Brothers, it wouldn't feel like a mistake at all. Them being the only 2 from Impact being on the shows has been a bad idea.

Oh, Impact probably deserves some blame for that, but AEW probably deserves more, since they would have final say on who appears on their shows.
