I only really watch 2 TV shows, Atlanta and Better Call Saul, I swear if this leads to their next seasons getting pushed back even FURTHER.... I mean, easiest solution would be for the studios to accommodate the demands of the workers which, again, aren’t that unreasonable in the substantial money age these companies are going through. Studio execs: "We hear you, but that would mean less money for the studio, and possibly for us. Do you really want this billion dollar studio to have to pay people a living wage? We're barely scraping by as it is. As execs, we only have 3 houses each and only 1 is a mansion per person. How can you expect us to give up that much?"

Wrestling being filmed on an Iphone gimble is going to be an amazing experience. There will be one hard cam and that's all you get. Well, that would improve WWE programming substantially.

So we can look forward to WWE Raw: Live From the Alkali Flats of the Springfield Badlands, featuring a main event of Stingy the Scorpion vs. Professor Gas Can. Hey look if Raw turns into Borderlands and broadcasts from Pandora and Tiny Tina is on commentary....well obvious BOOM PERIOD! A literal boom period, in this case.

If the strike goes on for over a month, I'd see the following: Forign shows beibg imported to Anerican T.V. (with content and time cuts to make room for commercials),streaming service shows airing on free OTA TV (also with time and content edits) late season college football (and bowl) games on broadcast OTA tv in primetime even if they are simulcasts of ESPN broadcasts more MNF on ABC and NBA games on ABC starting earlier then usual and a chance for a Japanese anime airing on American OTA tv

If there ends up being a short strike of less than one week, AEW could luck out with their shows next week being on Friday and Saturday.

WWE does have NXT UK, if the strike lasts beyond a week, I could see ALL of WWE taping in BT Sports' studios (albeit without fans as to prevent spoilers from leaking) or doing the return of Thunderdome this time in the U.K.
Furthermore, I said this before if the strike lasts weeks, expect ABC asking the NHL and NBA to allow for some NBA broadcasts on the network (albeit with a alternate game in the markets of the primary game's teams to protect the local RSN broadcast and vice versa). In the case of the NBA, it'll break a tradition that started back when the NBA was on CBS: no National OTA games til Christmas

Especially since they’ve got a Las Vegas residency anyway.

Or, and this might sound like a crazy idea so hope you're sitting down for that...you could just accept the deal and pay them more?
Because you're likely going to be paying more for the shows from other markets than you would just accepting the deal.

I love that Hollywood is so f***ing happily corrupt they wont give let alone pay the people who actually do the f***ing work on all these productions acceptable fair treatment , not like they are demanding they be paid 70mil for the work they do or anything they just want fair treatment and not working 20hr days and not be able to eat in that time etc.
Foreign markets better take advantage and just gouge the f*** out of the likes of Netflix because there will be no better oppuurtunity to take advantage of their greed.

That's the big thing that comes to mind from this. Like, let's say CBS tries to pay for Squid Games to be aired on network TV (It won't but hear me out). We already know its a hit, a big hit in fact, and that CBS would be super desperate to air it to fill a slot for episodes that aren't done yet so yeah, they're going to charge a larger amount because why wouldn't they? They're likely going to hike up the price tag and CBS are going to pay because they need that content right now. And again, all of that seems to be a larger hassle than just accepting IASTE's terms, paying the minuscule amount in terms of pay rises, not working them to the bone and everything else they asked for. It's just so boneheaded.

Thinking they can just replace all the "small folk" but Hollywood and just the whole entertainment industry is about to learn real quick that aint gonna work well for ya in the long term. Greed and the need to controll make people do the stupidest things , these people just want to be treated like actual human beings but nope HollyWood can't dare have that.

What are actors in the U.S goibg to do during the IASTE strike? Voice over work? Could Funimation offer a helping hand and give some of the affected actors voice roles in their english dubbed anime?

Something I find funny, like the timing of it is just amusing, and with how long game some of the productions are, the licensing negotiations likely were done months ago, and all of the stuff isn't dropping until next year, but the fact that IASTE is about to strike lining up with Disney announcing a massive wave of Japanese and Korean films and shows coming to Disney+ in 2022 is just perfect. Like that kind of planetary alignment couldn't have been timed better.
