Get ready to take an L, Tony. WWE's taking a huge L to baseball so it's neither here nor there.

AEW will win the first 30 minutes if they have Punk kick off the show he's the biggest draw in the business among active wrestlers IMO It’s possible but Punk also kicked off last night’s Rampage and the numbers were fairly poor.

I’m really not concerned about ratings at this moment. They are up against the MLB playoffs for a least a month. So I am going to expect the ratings for both shows to drop because of it. As long as Turner is happy and as long as AEW continues to pump out quality shows, then they will be perfectly fine.
The fact is, sports are huge. Much bigger than wrestling, most things are bigger than wrestling.

The majority of those examples were also considered needless and cringeworthy, so I don't really get that as an arguement. His point, and mine, is that there’s a wild difference between a tweet or a throwaway line than all three major companies in the 90s dedicating airtime to taking potshots at the opponent. Writing a vague tweet doesn’t take a minute if you type fast enough so trying to act like it’s a bigger deal than that is just weird.

If they beat them, cool, if they don't, also fine.
Like, I think people made a big deal out of what seriously isn't a big deal.

You don't make this promise unless you got something on the level of The Fiend in a Jetpack or a Chavo match planned for the occasion.

I’ve somehow never seen that letter to Ted before, that’s amazing.

There’s no chance of that happening. Like, maybe Vince might want that but I can’t really see Fox wanting people to tune away from their top network for the sports one hardly anyone gets.

No, but news is still one of the things on networks that do consistently well, especially local news, so it’s not really in the best interest to drive people away from that.

Get ready to take an L, Tony. Curious, What is the best outcome here for you? Like are we talking you want him to fold the company? Shut down just Rampage?

I think they have occasionally had Backstage on FS1 immediately after Smackdown before though so it’s not entirely unprecedented.

It’s not but those are practically two different genres of show, even with the WWE name attached.
