Absolutely everything I hoped it would be.
When they said Suzuki was like a fine wine, it's absolutely true. The man is a master of playing to the crowd, theatrics, and doing the style he's doing at his age without missing a beat is just amazing. The guy is just so crisp, and he and AmDrag's styles compliment each other so well.
I'm glad he's getting this current U.S. run in multiple promotions, and in AEW on TV.

Incredible match top-to-bottom. I loved the early teeing off between the two and then Suzuki took it up several notches and knocked Bryan the hell out with a punch to the jaw. That elbow legit cracked him in the cheekbone. Not only was it cut, you could see it swelling. That was brutal It was somehow absolutely disgusting and high art at the same time.

Any lower, any higher it’s dangerous as f*** but if it lands on the cheek and Danielson rolls with it properly it’s fairly safe. Painful as all balls, but fairly safe.

Oh yeah, I’ve hit and been hit with enough forearms to know you have to get that right every time and he got it right. And it looking super gross also helps.

Really fun match. I also love the running gimmick of Emi and Lulu chasing Suzuki down and trying to interview him while terrified. "I lost, I don't got shit to say."

Bravest people in the entire world of pro wrestling…. Gimmick or not would YOU attempt to get a word with the pissed off (more than usual) Japanese John Wick?

I love how when Emi ran into him the first time at All Out, he just did his evil laugh. It was beautiful.

Emi has a bit of a tough girl rep, not all that dissimilar to Suzuki, but when she talks to him she becomes really formal/polite. It just feels like wrestlers really buy in to making Suzuki scary anytime they can.

Haku sleeps with a night light on so he’ll see him coming… Lesnar checks under his bed every night just to make sure he’s not there waiting. Just…waiting.

That elbow legit cracked him in the cheekbone. Not only was it cut, you could see it swelling. That was brutal That was definitely the moment where I thought “Jesus…Bryan. I know you love this shit but don’t forget you’re probably one more concussion away from losing it. Again.” And there’d be no coming back from that one, if I’m being honest.

Danielson for WON Most Improved. This made me lol. Great match. I liked it more than the Omega match.

Just a bunch of dudes beating the hell out of each other. So sadistic. I loved it.

My fiancee stopped what she was doing to watch this match with me and was entranced by it. Awesome stuff.

Amazing match, you have to wonder how many classics Bryan would have had all over the world rather then being held back and down for years with WWE,pure wrestling fans have lost out on so many great matches with him working for WWE so long, nothing he ever did in WWE matchewise matches this match in my book!

I really, really don't care for these stiff shots Bryan is doing and taking left and right. Any hard shot to the head is a risk, and doubly so for him. In real combat sports they may be unavoidable; there's no reason for them to happen in pro wrestling.
I also find the Japanese wrestling obsession with duelling forearm shots/slaps and no-selling really tedious. It's the sort of thing you could maybe buy in the final match of a blood feud, but when I was watching Stardom it happened in what seemed like every damn match and it just gets silly, like if every single match had a Hulk-Up-Three-Punches-Finger-Wag-Big-Boot sequence.
It is a testament to both men involved that despite these issues this match was so goddamn good. I was skeptical of Suzuki after the pretty forgettable match with Mox, but his subsequent two matches have both been really excellent, despite being wildly different in style. Bryan could of course have a good match with a broomstick, but he sure as hell couldn't have that match with one.
Now I just hope he feuds with someone who never wrestled in Japan so he can ease up and remember that professional wrestling is fake.
