I do think PnP's been pretty badly misused. Really kind of feel like their run has been all downhill after the Bucks match, that felt like they were being positioned to be a huge deal and they've never really felt that way again since. They've done big stuff since then I guess but it's never really felt like they've been relevant to the tag title scene.
Though honestly in general I feel like I more often than not don't care about the tag title scene. Great matches and stuff but the storytelling is pretty much consistently a complete afterthought.

In the case of Stu Grayson, the Dark Order completely fell off a cliff after Brodie Lee's passing, where they just refused to let the team win anything. I get that they wanted to transition the focus towards John Silver and Alex Reynolds because, you go with the hot hand, but considering how pitiful the Dark Order became especially after the humiliating loss in the 5 on 5 tag match, I think the value of the wrestlers in the group has decreased. Evil Uno barely wrestles, and when was the last time Colt Cabana has been on television?
As for Pride 'n' Powerful, they absolutely have been bungled. The duo have largely been treated as spectators to bigger feuds featuring Jericho and Sammy Guevara, with any efforts to give them individual screentime few and far between. If either or both left, I don't think I would blame them.

I don't blame Stu for not re-signing. The dark Order have been booked like complete shit since Brodie passed. Stu will kill it wherever he goes.

It’ll bum me out if Stu goes. The people being dropped bum me out. I initially was excited for AEW to see guys like Stu or Jack Evans on a big stage. I 1000% get bringing in guys like Danielson and Sting, it’d be stupid not too. It’s just not really as exciting for me. They’re great and having phenomenal runs, but I want room for the Chuck Taylors and Sonny Kiss’s of the world too. I said it a while back in another thread, but part of the initial appeal of AEW for me was watching wrestlers who I'd only seen on the indies finally get a shot on national TV. Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Private Party, Alex Reynolds, Kris Statlander - going from watching them in a rec center in Rahway to watching them on TNT in primetime was so, so cool. AEW shifting from "a collection of top indie stars and relatively unknown developing prospects" to "a collection of top stars from all around the world" is an understandable move but it feels like a bit of the company's soul has been lost in the transition. There's some truth to this, but those people listed are still very featured wrestlers, hell a lot of the people you mentioned were big on the Indies for years before their stint in the big time. I don't know if I consider any of Swerve, Keith Lee, Hobbs, or Starks as "Top stars from around the world" as I do top class talent and in Hobbs case a relative unknown that's gotten very hot as of late. We still have people who fit these bills that are on the shows all the time imo. Wheeler Yuta, Dante Martin, Private Party, PNP, Eddie Kingston, Hobbs, Starks, Swerve, Keith, Danhausen, Chaos Project, Jamie Hayter, Skye Blue, Anna Jay, Mercedes Martinez, Thunder Rosa, Nyla, Lee Moriarty, Satnam Singh, Lee Johnson, Brock Anderson, Brodie King, The Blondes, Julia Hart, Abadon, Dark Order, Statlander, Accalaimed, Lucha Bros, Archer, Wardlow, MJF, Jurassic Express, Darby, Willow, Red Velvet, Kiera Hogan, Jade, Shafir, Sammy, Angelico, Butcher and Blade, Best Friends, I feel like I could keep going, they all fit that mold, they're top Indie Stars, they're relative unknowns making a name in AEW and getting opportunities Yeah we have people like Danielson, Cole, ReDragon, FTR, Lethal, Joe, Ruby, Toni, Christian, Sting, Malakai, Andrade, The Hardy's what have you also joining as more recognized talents, but I don't think AEW's lost a part of their soul at all... they're doing the exact same thing they've always done, they just have more top name talent now, and that's a good thing to intermingle with the talents who are getting that shine on TV and getting the opportunity they wouldn't get elsewhere. If it were the top stars only ever being put over, it'd be one thing... but it really isn't. AEW's probably one of the greatest collections of talent who can show up and show out at any time anywhere in the world today. Yes, it sucks when some people fall through the cracks because they can't feature everyone... but I don't think AEW has pulled back on featuring "Talent you'd see in a rec center" at all, they're just also now featuring talent you might also have seen anywhere else including other top promotions worldwide, and I think that's a good thing too.

Though honestly in general I feel like I more often than not don't care about the tag title scene. Great matches and stuff but the storytelling is pretty much consistently a complete afterthought. I still don't think them not being relevant in the tag title scene as of yet is them being "badly misused", they've had a ton of feature matches and a ton of feature showcases, and that has kept them pretty damn over without going for the belts, because people remember the stories they've been involved in Ortiz and Trent simply staring each other down in the one tag battle royal got a literal standing ovation because of the Parking Lot Brawl they had... and that was like a year ago from that point in the pandemic era... Santana and Ortiz aren't viewed as afterthoughts, which is important for when they more than likely DO go for the tag belts. I think they've been positioned as big deals, just not for the tag belts, which again, isn't always needed to be presented as a big deal. Santana facing Jericho one on one this week is an indication of that as well imo.

Now I'm sad as Stu is my boy.
But he'll be okay. He also runs/ran a family Construction company, co-owns a wrestling school with Uno and is a pastry chef. Plus, he is a great "ac-tor"! (See his monologues on Uno's YouTube show.)

Stu Grayson is an elite-level in ring worker. His matches captivate me into a trance. Anytime anyone departs a major company, the easy impulse for Twitter/Facebook "fans" is to just say "Would be great in AEW" to feel better about the tough news of the departure. Stu Grayson to me is one of the 5% of overall releases who actually should be in the other big company. And if WWE is stupid to have him as Viking Raiders Butch-Like Sidekick or not hire him because "33 is ancient", I hope he likes Japan. It may get me to watch that again.

WWE would never sign Grayson, he just doesn't fit what they're looking for right now and he's not enough of a Cody imo for them to throw stuff at
If he perhaps signs to Japan/Impact or simply works out a deal with AEW in the end, I think those are much more likely. I'm just curious how far off they were on money, if there's a gap they can bridge there.

PnP are great and have been booked excellently... as a midcard tag teamm and that's fine, you need midcard tags teams, but if Santana is frustrated because he feels a ceiling on his push that's fair enough. Nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself.
That said we have no idea what's happening in Santana's head or what his plans are.

Yea I agree with that. They have been involved with a lot of stuff but also feels like they are just running in place despite being Over. They have a ceiling on them there it seems Same goes for Pentagon. He's in a lot of stuff but he's running but staying in the same spot

TK re-signs Brian "I walk into a testing room and all the piss cups spontaneously combust" Cage but can't get Stu re-signed.

Brian had an option picked up, wasn't re-signed Stu's contract was completely up and they could not come to terms of a money figure, Stu wanted more, it's not known how much more, but they must not have been close enough at this time.

I dont think they have been pushed as mid-card But with the ungodly amount of focus that ReDragon and FTR (especially FTR)been getting it does feel like PnP should be getting more.

I'm just shocked that the glitch on the website has gotten so out of hand that it posted a goodbye message on Stu's Twitter too.

Was talking about a bud how it kind of sucks now cause whatever DO do..the complete unit is gone now. That really sucks and is surprising.
P&P have been fumbled. Thinking the teams that have been showcased over them have been worth it is..arguable at the least. My fav AEW team from day one though and I think they haven’t been capitalized on as much as possible.
I don’t think they’ll leave but if it were to happen, I would not be shocked.

I've felt like Dark Order could use more members or some sort of change with a new leader for awhile, not sure if they'll actively do it, but Hangman seems to have distanced himself from them, and they themselves have now lost Stu Grayson, one of the most absolute units at least for the foreseeable future or until maybe they revisit making a new deal. But in the end they still have a lot of members who can still do a lot of things. They have a lot of combos they can use and a lot of talent. I hope to see them find themselves through the hardships.
