Good! "Oh I'v never seen anyone try and game the dislike" yup, my most disliked video is because we called out someone 10 times the size of us for stealing verbatim our show, on Christmas Day no less! and so they dislike bombed for revenge.

Given how weaponised they've become, I don't see any problem with shitcanning dislikes.

Disqus seems to go back and forth on this. Sometimes you could see dislikes, other times not.
Didn't someone else do the same?

I don't like it. This is just censorship and denying people the right to voice their opinions.

I don't like it. This is just censorship and denying people the right to voice their opinions. It really isn't though? Nothing's being censored, it's just them choosing to display something else on their own platform, and people are still free to voice their opinions in the comments or in other places, or by disliking the videos for that matter, they just can't see how many people have done the same.

People who use the term censorship should learn what it actually means.

I have as much a right to know how many people don't like something just as much as I have a right to read the comments.

I see Youtube is still salty about the 2018 Youtube Rewind video like a 9 year old. At this point just remove upvotes entirely.

I don't like it. This is just censorship and denying people the right to voice their opinions. Does that include targeted downvoting campaigns that game the algorithm and effectively deny content creators the chance to have their videos seen? Besides, comment sections are still open. If you have an opinion on a video you can still voice it in a more articulate way than simply clicking a button.

I'm just concerned. First it starts with the Dislikes. Then the comment section will soon be taken away too. Mark my words.

Yeah. I can see I'm getting too angry about this. I'm gonna bow out. I just can't help but be pessimistic about this, but maybe I am wrong, and it's no big deal.

YouTube isn’t a government entity. This isn’t a freedom of speech issue.
It’s an “assholes ruin it for everyone on a public enterprise so you take it away from them because f*** those guys”.
Blame those turds for taking away your “voice”.

For all this talk about "censorship" let's keep in mind the fact that Youtube is a privately owned website and not an actual public forum.
