True. But the fact that I lived through that, and know that Kane's career didn't suffer a bit, but still fear for Toni, should say a lot. And I think it's because they have far more reason to cut people on a whim now, than they did back in 2002. So if Toni doesn't get over from this feud, which, with how they're booking her, is a real possibility, that could be enough reason to cut their losses. That is a fascinating perspective of just how little margin for error and how little tolerance there is for bad booking (in the sense of how much one is willing to let slide) there is nowadays in the eyes of the average WWE fan and how that's changed over the last 19 years. It's how we end up in a situation where the demand is people literally go undefeated and never look the slightest bit weak, lest they be seen as expendable. I'm not asking for Toni to be booked like a demigod here. But the feud so far has been Toni wants a title shot, Charlotte says Toni isn't on her level, Charlotte humiliates Toni, Toni claims she's in Charlotte's head, Charlotte continues to say Toni's not on her level, Toni hits Charlotte with a pie. But who has Toni beat in the ring to prove she's a threat to Charlotte? Give me something to make me think there's even a slim chance Toni could win this. That's literally all I'm asking of WWE here. Give me SOMETHING.

So Toni ain't done. People said she was done last week? Whatdoyaknow
Whoever would have anticipated that a week-to-week storytelling medium would require its viewers to wait a week to see the next step before writing a character off as BuRiEd forever?

Who is there on the heel side of the roster for Storm to beat that has credibility to spare since WWE never use outside enhancement talents? Why is it that, for merely having been disparaged in the first place, Storm has no recourse of proving Flair wrong and is permanently a joke just because Flair said so? But I digress, since I gotta do some scorekeeping for the rookie game.

Toni looked like such a dork dancing around like she’d actually accomplished something there.
Also Toni has not even won A match on who knows how long.
This feud is everything wrong with WWE booking summed up in one bit.

The OP was probably a little doom and gloom, but acting like this is proof that Toni is gonna accomplish anything of note here?

I liked last night's segment. Charlotte getting taken down a whole peg along with her reaction was funny. The pie bit always works when the person receiving it has some dignity. I enjoy pie escalation

In fairness, I don't watch any more, but WWE has not rewarded anyone's faith consistently in literally decades. Expecting the worst is probably the best way to not get disappointed.

I want this to lead to a Goldberg/Sid situation where next week Charlotte tries to pie Toni again but gets pied herself leading to her standing screaming "TONI! WHY ME?!? WHY ME?!?"

Yeah that's what week-to-week storytelling media would do, but we're not talking about those, we're talking about WWE.

Given that was a championship contender's match so I'm assuming Toni's getting a title shot, I wonder how that match will end.

You know, I was talking to a friend before SD this week. And he said that maybe they would have Toni “win” by having Charlotte get DQ’ed for kicking too much ass. And he meant that as a joke.
Well little did he know that WWE would actually do that. Jeez this was terrible. For anyone who is not already a Toni fan, why would they care about her now? Charlotte kicked her ass with ease tonight. This company cannot book babyfaces well to save their lives.
