I’m finally watching Dynamite, and his analysis of the world title match is just phenomenal. After his lackluster run in TNA, I’m glad to see him just loving life and doing great work. It’s not the comeback story of Schiavone, but it’s still great to see.
I still like JR and obviously wish him well, but I’ll miss Taz on the big shows when he’s gone. I’ll still enjoy singing Taz on Dark though.

Taz is an incredible talent. Baffles me he has been so underutilized by almost his entire career.

I've always had a softspot for Taz as a commentator since his team with Michael Cole on Smackdown, and this is the best he's ever been. He's knowledgeable, funny, and even though he's heel-aligned, he puts over everyone.

Taz really excels at being what I call a "technical analyst". Excalibur knows more move names and storyline things, JR and Tony are good at selling the narrative and the stakes, but Taz is honestly unparalleled at explaining WHY something is done the way it is in ring.

Taz has everything a great color commentator can ask for and really, he is the only guy I know of. His voice is clear, has a perfect heel pitch, sounds modern. He is witty and knowledgeable. He fills a generational gap. AEW should never cut him as it stands.

Taz is someone who's always ricocheted dramatically between very good and very bad and in AEW he's consistently been very good.

Cory Graves, take notes on how to be a heel commentator by listening to Taz's AEW stuff

I think Taz is doing a very good job on commentary. He isn't a traditional "heel announcer" because he puts over everybody face or heel. He does a good job of explaining the purpose of a move and why it's effective and he doesn't waste much time in doing so. He fits in well with the rest of the commentary team.

I like that the only time he goes overly heel is when it relates to Team Taz matters, since it makes sense for him to show preferential treatment for his guys.

He's honestly my #1 announcer in AEW and maybe all of wrestling right now.

It's been his best work since the early days of his Smackdown work with Cole. He's clearly enjoying himself and it comes through in his work

Taz and Michael Cole on SD back in the day was an underrated commentary duo.

He’s like Dominick Cruz if Cruz wasn’t such a twat. (Though Cruz is a good analyst while not being a good “commentator” so to speak, Tazz toes the line beautifully)

I jokingly say I don't care for him but to be serious he has put his best foot forward in AEW
I like him better behind the desk then leading a group but he gets how to use his knowledge to help get people over or put them in positions as an audience member where you ask questions

I've really enjoyed his work. I think he does a lot to help put people over, but one of the biggest things he does is seem so invested.
I also love when he goes into panic mode when Team Taz members are in a rough spot in a match, and then sounds so relieved when they turn it around. It's an appreciated touch.

There's no-one better at giving matches a big fight feel. He can also explain the technicalities of certain moves without sounding boring or dorky.
