Not to defend Ogogo, but I feel there’s a factor where he comes from a sport where everyone knows people are going to take shots to spice up potential fights. Mostly because everyone knows that you’re trying to rile the other person up to get the best fight from the other. The problem is that, as mentioned by others, this isn’t boxing. That culture only exists if you get approval from the other person because it’s a work. It really doesn’t take 5 minutes to ask and if you don’t get approval, you’ve at least not gone ahead and done it anyway to make yourself look like a turd. I'm just confused as to how it got this far. After the first jab by Ogogo, you think Gresham would just DM him and say "hey cool it man, I don't want to do this with you" and if Anthony continued with it, then he's a dick. But we're all professionals here and if a guy did actually offend you with something that was meant to start some sort of angle, you should let him know privately. All of this coming out on Twitter seems like a huge failure to listen/communicate on one of the two parties.

Ogogo is certainly in the wrong, because he's doing something publicly without the other party's consent, but it does feel like it's all been blown just a tad out of proportion unless there's more to it than we know. Twitter just breeds this kind of nonsense, though, because once you've posted something, there's no taking it back and dealing with it privately. The internet doesn't forget.

Having a brain might dictate that if there's a desirable free agent hanging around twitter who my company probably has reason to sign, even if I want to work with him, I'm not gonna go f***ing shittalk him on twitter and provoke him non-stop even when he's saying 'I don't know what he's doing, this isn't a work". It's the failure to stop that's really impressive here. What a dumbass.

Yeah.... this isn't a wrestling thing or even an AEW vs. WWE thing... this is a Twitter/Social Media problem. As time goes on, I really believe Social Media/Twitter is going to prove to be one of the worst things to ever come to society. There are so many pluses to it... but the negatives are ruining society, IMO.

So majority of wrestling fans are shitty Color me shocked You can remove 'wrestling' from that statement and still be 100% correct. As a Michigan football fan, I'm part of the problem... I was one thinking it was time to cut bait with Jim Harbaugh. I'm so happy to be completely wrong about that. I'm learning my lesson.

I’ve always said this, the stuff that is making it “ruining society” is down to the people running the sites not doing anything about the problems. If Twitter, Facebook or whoever weren’t so reliant on shareholders or people who are funding them to do it, they might get off their high horses and sort out the problems of the user bases. Same with places like YouTube that could probably solve all kinds of problems with a snap of their fingers because they’re owned by Google. And the fact is, this shit isn’t hard. I’m not going to say this forum hasn’t had issues or we haven’t butted heads but all of us here are volunteers making this place work. If we can do it, billion dollar tech companies with infinite resources sure as hell can.

All of this coming out on Twitter seems like a huge failure to listen/communicate on one of the two parties. I love Gresham as a performer but he is a guy that does tend to have a chip on his shoulder mainly cause of his height and because he feels he missed out on opportunities in his 20s where some of his friends (AR Fox, Apollo Crews) got so he can be a bit prickly... and if Jordynne is involved at all.. again she isn't someone known for wise social media decisions. Not saying they are in the wrong either but it this wasn't a work it was a case of Ogogo picking the wrong person to start an angle with... But in the back of my mind, Gresham does have his own promotion running a show soon and there will be AEW talent there so I still don't totally buy it's not a work

As someone who was a former wrestler and is a very small guy myself (I’m 5’0) I get Gresham having a bit of a chip on his shoulder about that, because I used to as well, and I get the taking it personal as well.
Ogogo seriously needs to keep his mouth shut cos everyone is going to be trying to sign Gresham pretty soon.

The Reddit thread on the subject is just as bad as Twitter.

If Ogogo didn’t ask for permission and just started shit talking Gresham then he’s in the wrong
Why would Gresham DM him like chill bro what you doing. Ogogo wants business he should have DM’d Gresham and both men would been on the same page.

If we can do it, billion dollar tech companies with infinite resources sure as hell can. Misinfo gets pushed by algorithms because it's the easiest way to keep people on their site. Bot/spam accounts and people posting complete bile get kept around and moderation lax because those active users count toward their metrics, which is why the meme of Michelle Obama being compared to different pictures of monkeys that I reported was deemed just fine by Facebook. Fake scam stores can keep buying ads because there's no oversight and they get a long time ot gestate before reports of them build up enough steam to kick them away. All because those services have to please investors and the easiest way to do that is to let fake shit and hell people fester and turn their platforms vile so they can present numbers like a magic trick to impress the people with the big money. It's the most terrible and draining of priorities to live by and it takes massive public outcries for any one single segment or group to be acted on.

So many of my Facebook memories that pop up are from when I was a student at Clemson 2008-2009 and was dogging the administration for hiring Dabo Swinney, and then begging for him to be fired. Glad I wasn't making decisions.

Haters "are" gonna hate? Snowflakes "are" gonna cry? That's some dedication to grammar.

Dude's spent days on Twitter throwing a bitch fit because people got mad that he was insulting them, he really isn't in a position to be throwing around that stupid "snowflake" label.
