It's a good lineup and having Michael Keaton is a strong selling point (especially since I have zero interest in Flash) but I've always found non-Oracle Barbara to just be an ungodly boring character.

I kinda dug Burnside Batgirl but I get that sentiment. Thankfully live action adaptations tend to make certain characters bearable. Barry Allen sucks in comics but I love him in the CW show.

Batgirl? But I want the moody loner Batman!

Hope it doesn't fall off the rails like Bat-Woman did.
I actually really enjoyed the first part of the show. But replacing Ruby Rose with the most unlikeable and annoying and obnoxious character in the world who had zero connection to Alice killed the series for me.

To me, the Burnside era of Batgirl is probably the worst Babs has ever been, but it is insanely popular with cosplayers so I don't mind the costume adapting the look. I also hear Dick will be in this.

Completely different showrunners, producers, etc. This isn't even in the Arrowverse, but the DCEU. And given the complete mess the Arrowverse has been since Crisis ended, that's probably for the best.

I really liked the Batgirl of Burnside suit design and it's cool seeing the inspiration here.
Also amusing seeing the usual types complain how it looks nothing like Batgirl. Further proof they're not really comic fans or haven't picked up a comic in like 30 years.

The Burnside outfit works as a “starter” costume for Batgirl, then she can get different costumes in the sequels.

There needs to be a scene where Batman explains his history to Batgirl post Batman Returns.

Nope, different actors, different backstories, and played very differently. Emphasis on that last point. I'm kind of reiterating a point, but it's kind of different approaches that DC and Marvel take to their universes: Marvel wants to you watch and will have an actor in a cameo or an easter egg to make you believe that what you watched mattered even if they were in different universes. DC stuff wants you to watch and if something doesn't match up or it's a different actor in the same role then it's separate worlds or it doesn't matter. Marvel rewards a viewer's attention and loyality, but the knock on Marvel is a lot of the films are cookie cutter with planned action scenes/CGI planned way before they even hire a director. DC films vary widely in quality. Marvel has had a couple of "meh" films, but never an outright bad one.
