She Keeps Me Up is a bop and I will not pretend that it isn't.

Looking back, As much as Nickelback got a lot of criticism (some deserved, some a bit too harsh), I do admit even as a early Gen Z'er, I miss hearing rock on the radio, even with the good and bad. And while Nickelback had a few bangers...this band wasn't my favorite, but at least they were more tolerable than Creed or especially Kid Rock.
Sadly, the most on rock we get nowadays is Imagine Dragons and bands that sound like them, or as I'd like to call them, "Rock music for Gen Z'ers who hate rock music" (and before you ask, I hate Imagine Dragons). And there's a part of me that wishes my fellow Gen Z'ers would take back rock music for themselves instead of letting it languish. Sorry for the small rant, but that's just how I feel.
As for "No Fixed Address", it sounded like they were trying something new, but it felt like they stumbled hard and became a speeding snowball down the hill, and not in a good way.

Nickelback is a band where I do certainly recognize why they were so hated on and they are largely terrible but they do definitely have songs I like. Top of my head Slow Motion is pretty good, it's stupid but I have kind of a soft spot for Rockstar, never minded their Raw theme...

No Fixed Address shows they have more versatility as a band than people give them credit for, problem is the new sounds they tried were entirely wrong for them. Nobody was asking for Funkleback, Chad isn't like Bruno Mars or others who can work that style, his voice and swagger are lacking. He's a stand and scream musician, not a strut and swagger type front man.

never minded their Raw theme... That song would have suited 2006-2008 RAW more than Papa Roach. WWE wasn't in a good place quality wise by the time they started using Burn It To The Ground

To be honest, after MeToo and Speaking Out and everything, I am highly nostalgic for the days when Nickelback were the biggest thing I had to worry about in music
Like, shit, Chad Kroeger might make shitty music, but to use one of the most extreme possible examples, he sure ain't R Kelly

Sure, they have this very doofy public persona but if that's the worst you can say about them then they're probably alright.

He already put the lists out earlier last year, so... yeah all hail Todd "On Time" in The Shadows!
Also, country music, get your shit together.

#2 should've been #1. But Country's fallen a long way from the days of Cash, Nelson, and Kristofferson.

Somewhat related, man-yells-at-cloud tangent:
Streams shouldn't count for Billboard placement, equivalent 'sales', etc.
There's no buy-in, just morbid curiosity listens inflating the totals of numerous "hit" songs.

The only I song I've heard on that list was Peaches and that was supposed to be a bad song on purpose.

Todd didn't even point out that Aldean is from the city of Macon, Georgia and never lived in a small town in his life.
