Something definitely happened. Becky's "The Man" merchandise is on clearance at the WWE Shop website, and they're clearly favoring the "Big Time Becks" name over "The Man" on TV now. They likely moved away from it for now because "The Man" character is more a babyface thing than a heel thing, at least for Becky. That and I think they kind of exhausted the merch options for "The Man" for now. Her first shirt when she was back was a "The Man" shirt. I don't think it has to do with Flair. If it did, he'd be out bragging about it.

Mark Madden mentioned a few weeks ago that "The Man" TM is Flair's once again and that was the reason WWE is going with "Big Time Becks" as Lynch's nickname. He made it sound like WWE and Flair had come to an official agreement. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, Madden's full of shit. WWE have five active trademarks for "The Man", covering its use in professional wrestling and all aspects of merchandising, all of which were renewed in the last six months.

I just pictured Ric being ejected from one of Charlotte's high school volleyball matches and doing a blade job on the way out.

All I know is, in the first episodes of Flair and Madden's podcast, they discussed it like Flair and WWE were having a conflict over the TM to "The Man." Then one week, right at the start of the episode, Madden said (paraphrasing), "Matter is closed. Ric Flair will be using 'The Man' going forward, and Becky Lynch will be 'Big Time Becks.'"

His daughter is about to main event WrestleMania for the second time, whereas Becky’s match will not. And she’s been given pretty much every accolade possible as quickly as possible.
And he’s STILL insecure about Charlotte’s “spot?” How pathetic.

Counterpoint: the two people in the conversation were Ric Flair and Mark Madden.

Why would anyone give Ric Flair and Mark Madden the time of day to begin with?

Or the time when he tried to whore himself out for the low, low price of $100,000 "Accompanying any young lady for a night of laughter, socializing, and dancing at the most special occasion of her young life: her high school prom." "Can I have $100,000 to take Ric Flair to my prom?" is just one of those questions you wouldn't ever expect to hear from your daughter. "Honey, I'll give you $200,000 if you never ask that question again!"

This dude is just gross at this point.
He's possibly a sex offender, wants to go to high school proms, and is harassing a young female celebrity online.
And here I thought current Hulk Hogan was f***ing pathetic...

Remember a few years ago when Ric was selling creepy weird 'consent contracts' on his website for Valentine's Day? This man's every instinct is absolutely horrible. Or the time when he tried to whore himself out for the low, low price of $100,000 "Accompanying any young lady for a night of laughter, socializing, and dancing at the most special occasion of her young life: her high school prom." Oh man that was around the same time you could pay to have a phone conversation with Ric Flair. Someone on here wanted to do it just to force Flair to have incredibly awkward phone sex. I still laugh when I think of it.

Mark Madden and Ric Flair's voices combined to create a kind of lie nexus so unbound by reality and truth that politicians are currently looking into harnessing for their own gain. If the patent office says WWE owns it all then they're absolutely full of shit on claiming that it's 'settled' and Ric owns it now. Especially since Ric claimed months ago he still owned it completely. It's delusion.

Ric is shitting on his own legacy by being such a f***ing loser. Ric is a smoldering alcoholic in his 70s who’s losing his faculties and should probably be under the care of somebody at this point

If the patent office says WWE owns it all then they're absolutely full of shit on claiming that it's 'settled' and Ric owns it now. Especially since Ric claimed months ago he still owned it completely. It's delusion. A TM has to continue being actively used in order to keep ownership of it. Billy Gunn was able to gain control of his WWE name for that reason. Also, WWE apparently only got the TM to "The Man" by signing Flair to a new contract in 2020. WWE sometimes trademarks names that the performer established outside the company, and those typically will revert back to the performer when they're released. WWE has a TM on "John Cena," but that doesn't mean Cena can't call himself that if he ever leaves.

Occasionally, I’m reminded that someone still pays for Mark Madden to talk, and I just get sad.

The man got a lot of credibility when the Jerry Sandusky news hit, because he covered it and the Penn State coverup months in advance. He's pissed it all away.
