Ren and Stimpy showing up in The Simpsons. As a huge R&S fan back in the day, that blew my mind.

I don't get how the Laff-a-Lympics is a "forbidden door"--they're all Hanna-Barbera properties. If Bugs Bunny captained a team, *that* would be a Forbidden Door.
Speaking of: most of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue, since that featured characters from multiple networks.

Bart would never give R&S the time of day--even if the cartoons filled two different niches of sorts with grossout humor vs. violence, he's an Itchy & Scratchy loyalist to the max. Yet he's the one shown watching R&S while Homer and Pepe are watching I&S. It should have been the other way around.

Basically cuz they were from different shows Laugh Olympics, but I guess it would be more like Dolph Ziggler showing up in NXT 2.0

Homer Simpson appearing on "Duckman".
Best part is the audio over the end credits.

To me a Forbidden Door is something more than just a crossover. It has to be a "special" event that transitions across networks, or across major company properties. Kramer appearing on Mad About You isn't breaking a Forbidden Door--they were both NBC properties. If he'd appeared and was explicitly identified as Cosmo Kramer on, say, Roseanne, or Murphy Brown, *that* might qualify.
Did anyone else's local TV stations do this? During the analog-to-digital broadcast transition in 2009, here in Columbus we got PSAs with our various local news anchors all appearing together, to explain the transition and what if anything you had to do. That was an odd sight.

The first crossover between Supergirl and The Flash, seeing as Kara was on CBS and Barry on the CW

Does James Avery/Uncle Phil showing up during the credits of an episode of Family Matters count?

Not really the same thing, as it was more of a cheeky easter egg, but still worth a mention:

Homicide Life On The Street had a couple, such as a scene where a body part transplant was seen arriving at the hospital from Chicago Hope. You also had Detective Munch appear in an episode of the X Files.
Of course the Munch character himself has kicked down pretty much all the forbidden doors. I think he holds the record for most appearances on different shows as the same character. Arrested Development, Sesame Street, 30 Rock, The Wire, of course Law & Order, Kimmy Schmidt...

Finn and Jake from Adventure Time making a cameo on Futurama. (And of course Jake and Bender interacted with each other.)

That reminds me, a real telling moment was that one time Marge said when was the last time anyone talked about Ren and Stimpy.

That was an odd sight. I can't remember what it was about, but I remember in the mid 90's the 3 local Boston news affiliates did a special news simulcast. Anchors from each network took turns talking, and that one anchor was shown on all 3 channels at the same time. Again, no recollection on what it was about, but it was probably important. As for the Forbidden Door stuff, the Family Guy-Simpsons episode definitely felt like forbidden door stuff, even though they were both FOX properties.

I know it's more of an easter egg:
Negan's bat Lucille being shown & referenced as being loved by John Winchester is a nice nod to Jeffery Dean Morgan.
also added to my own head-cannon of if you die permanently in Supernatural you end up in the hell of the Walking Dead
