Not really the same thing, as it was more of a cheeky easter egg, but still worth a mention: Yeah, that was ILM (who did the SFX for Star Trek First Contact) being cheeky.
In a similar vein, Star Wars did a couple of its own easter eggs in the prequels. Episode I had E.T.'s people represented in the Galactic Senate.
one of the new reboot series of star trek movies had a blink and miss it r2d2 cameo as well.

That reminds me, a real telling moment was that one time Marge said when was the last time anyone talked about Ren and Stimpy. John K. was not a guy I imagine a lot of the crew of Simpsons had a lot of respect for at that stage, plus, yeah, harsh but accurate to an extent. Ren and Stimpy's fall in relevance was a pretty dramatic one at the time. I mean they already pretty openly mocked him and his production time in response to an article he made bashing the Simpsons.

If you allow me to include youtube as a form of tv, AVGN and Irate Gamer appearing together on screen was a huge forbidden door moment!

ET's species (and ET himself possibly) in The Phantom Menace. Elliot had Star Wars toys and they encounter a trick n treating Yoda costume in the film. So ET exists both in the universe where Star Wars is real and the one where it began inside Lucas' head.

ME2 with the Sprit of Autumn as well. Another not-quite on-subject entry, but still fun: Indiana Jones and Mass Effect take place in the same timeline.

The cartoon versions of Ace Ventura and The Mask appearing in each others' shows. Technically they were on the same network and based on Jim Carrey movies, but the shows were so different in design and nature that it seemed out of nowhere.

I recall a very special episode of Growing Pains where the Insane Clown Posse guest starred. A poignant episode which taught Boner how to avoid groupthink and the devils of becoming part of a MLM scheme. Really ahead of its time for late 80s TV.

Yes they are under the same banner BUT the ammount of red tape that Warner put up to make sure the movies and tv shows never crossed over including making sure the same character never appeared in the show if they were gonna appear or have a movie....Deathstroke being the big one at the time and constantine recently by making Legends kill the character because they wanna do a movie or series of their own with him. For this to happen was insane. It's amazing that Warner would do this considering how much tge Multiverse concept is tied to DC's history. Why are companies so against having different versions of characters meet?

Why are companies so against having different versions of characters meet? Nothing new too. See all the legal hoops they made JLU avoid. Not Warner Bros. but even in the Superfriends days did they do this (Challenge could only use Riddler and Scarecrow, when all the other Batman characters were over at Filmation) WB seems to do this when they want to push something (Kids' WB shows, DCEU) over something else (JLU, Arrowverse)

Blue Falcon and Dynomutt appearing in Dexter’s Laboratory. I know Dexter’s Lab was technically a Hanna Barbers cartoon, but from a different era after HB was acquired by Turner.
