I'm back with another list! Last time, I ranked every JRPG I've ever played and now it's time for my other favourite genre! Not quite as many games as last time, but still a good amount. Just a few notes. Again, this list is just based on my personal enjoyment of the games. This will also take into account offline and online play, as I enjoy both equally. There will be some notable absences, so I'll just get those out of the way: No 3rd Strike. I did play it but it was for such a short amount of time that I can't fairly rank it. No Smash Brothers. Never played them, unfortunately. Funnily enough, I've played quite a few of the clones. And finally, no Killer Instinct games. I actually played them in the arcade back in the day, but it was so long ago and I have no idea which one it even was. I'm sure there are a few other fighting games I haven't played, but those are the big ones, I feel. Alright, let's get started with the worst fighting game I've ever played: 70. Criticom I'm wondering how many people have heard of this game. I know Maximilian Dood did a video on it not too long ago. But, yes, this is the worst game I've played, fighting game or other. Horrible controls and horrible graphics. I spent my pocket money on this thing. f***. The only thing I like about this game is Yenji, who is the character in the bottom right. She looks cool and deserves a better game. That's it. This game sucks.

69. Killing Zone Honestly, this game might be worse than Criticom, but I only played it recently, so there was no disappointment here. As an adult and not a naive kid, I could tell the game was gonna be bad just based on the cover. But, yeah, it's awful. Unlike Criticom's sci-fi setting, the characters in this are based on classic monsters. But just like Criticom, the gameplay and graphics are horrendous.

I remember Criticom and the best thing I can say about it is that at least it isn't Mortal Kombat Advance.

68. Iron & Blood: Warriors of Ravenloft Another disappointment from my childhood. This game has some cool characters and a pretty cool opening, from what I remember. But, again, it just comes down to the crappy graphics and gameplay. I mean, you compare these games to others at the time, like Tekken, and they're just not gonna compete.

I struggle to even think of half that many fighting games, let alone having played them. Are you considering the various different iterations of SF2 and SF3 as separate games?

Three terrible PlayStation 3d fighting games already! I have only seen clips of these.

I was going to, but I decided to just clump most of the SF games together. Exception is the EX series. I feel like those were different enough that I could separate them.

67. FaceBreaker KO Party This game kind of felt like a bad ripoff of Punch-Out!! I didn't enjoy the game play, and I thought it was a really ugly looking game, too. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on it. It's definitely better than the past three games on the list, but, yeah, it didn't do much for me.

66. Tournament of Legends This is a decent game I played only recently. It's on the Wii and uses the Wiimote, so the controls might be a mixed bag. I thought they were okay, though. Can't actually remember if the game supports the classic controller. Obviously, you swing the controller to perform attacks with your weapon, although I think special moves were just a simple button press. I guess this game is most similar to Soul Calibur. It kind of looks like one of those typical throwaway Wii games, but it's actually got quite a bit of depth. I lost interest pretty quick, though. To be fair, I thought I was gonna get nothing from this game, but it was actually okay. If you have a Wii, I'd say give it a shot.

65. Psychic Force I have a soft spot for this game, but I think the concept was a lot cooler than the actual execution. The characters are all psychics and you fly around an arena in battle. It reminded me a lot of DBZ, actually. It just wasn't that fun, unfortunately. Lots of projectile spam and few combos. It does have one of the best fighting game openings ever, though:

64. Psychic Force 2012 The slightly improved sequel to Psychic Force with better graphics and tighter gameplay. Although it doesn't have a sick opening like the first game, so I was considering putting it lower (joke).

63. Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein I played this game as a kid and I didn't like it at all. But I played it recently and it's actually quite decent. The gameplay's pretty fun and it has some cool character designs. But, yeah, if you're gonna put this next to the other fighting games on Dreamcast, it's not really gonna compare. It is decent, though.

It's a beautiful place and seeing the name used in a game caught me so off-guard back then!

62. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Damn, they killed off Liu Kang! I remember that being one of the big selling points of this game. No Liu Kang, but they added some cool new chars like Kenshi and Frost... and Hsu Hao. Just like all MK games, there's bucket loads of content like Konquest mode and the Krypt, which I always appreciate. Unfortunately, I just don't like the gameplay of the PS2/XBOX/whatever MKs. They just don't feel good to play, for me, at least compared to the other games that were out at the time.

The 3D era of Mortal Kombat has not aged well.

61. Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe This game seems to get quite a lot of hate; I know the fatalities are infamous because of how awful they are. But I really enjoyed the story mode (for the gameplay—the actual story was batshit). Definitely the best story mode I'd played in an FG up to that point, and I wasn't surprised when MK 9's story mode ended up so good. I don't even know if this game had online play, but I pretty much just played story and then dropped the game.

60. Primal Rage I'll admit, it's been years since I played this game, so there's a chance it hasn't aged well. Or maybe it was never that good to begin with. Looking back, the graphics were actually really nice. But as a kid who loved dinosaurs, I had quite a bit of fun with this.
