Reading what happened to him was very scary. His family should be his #1 priority. Thank you Triple H for everything. He had an amazing in-ring career that will never be duplicated. I would be here all day listing all of his matches & moments that I loved. I think I might have even loved his matches as Terra Ryzing & Jean-Paul Levesque in WCW too. That's how good of a wrestler he was. His final match was a live event in Japan with Shinsuke Nakamura VS Robert Roode & Samoa Joe in 2019. His final PPV match was against Randy Orton at Crown Jewel in 2019. The fight he had with Orton on Raw in 2021 wasn't an official match since there was no referee. I read that he made his wrestling debut on March 24, 1992 & he announced his retirement 30 years & 1 day later.

I've never been the biggest of HHH fans. But I certainly won't deny he has had a hell of a career.
I'm glad to see he knows when to call it a day, last thing we want is another wrestler going before his time.
Enjoy your retirement Game.
One more "Huh huh huh huh" for the road.

Gonna be honest I don't think they need to do a tribute show to him and I don't think he would want one especially sacrificing the build to Mania for it IMO. I absoloutley see a month long dedication to his career though...Youtube retrospectives , photoshoots , talking head segments , him on broken skull sessions and finally one big career documentary on the network/peacock. I expect him to show his mug on NXT though at stand an deliver maybe after the initial show is over. WWE usually don't do full on tribute shows to people unless they die... and usually only if they died suddenly. I do think they'll have like internet retrospective type stuff... and one of the A&E Biographies is likely going to be about him (If it wasn't before now that he's retired I can definitely see it) Maybe a big goodbye speech ala Daniel Bryan or Edge would be what we see.

Glad he’s ok, one of the best ever and one of my favorites to watch. I hope he has a long and happy retirement.

I was 8-10 during his “reign of terror” and as a kid I obviously hated the heels, but rewatching it on peacock I absolutely love his reigns.

Was genuinely good in 1999-2000, but after that, he was responsible for more bad than good and responsible for a lot of tropes that I loudly complain about today--overlong heel promos, heel shtick dependent wholly on babyfaces being stupid, exacerbating wrestlers' weaknesses, etc. I wish him the best of health, but I don't need to see him in any kind of on-air role again.
And I wasn't a regular weekly viewer from the Reign of Terror (specifically the Katie Vick segment which was my breaking point) until the rise of AEW. I've only had a few flips of watching WWE since then--not entirely because of him, but he definitely played a major role.

Game talking about going under and not waking up & seeing his daughters again broke me. Glad he's still with us That bit was tough to watch, I hope to catch the entire interview at some point.

I'm happy that he's doing well and putting his health first. I'm also happy he's retiring. Too often we look back on careers with rose colored glasses. Trips was never as good as he and Vince thought, save for maybe a few years in 98-01.

I'll never be accused of being a huge HHH fan, but he did have a hell of a career. I'm glad he had his realization that it isn't worth it to risk not seeing his daughters and rest of his family again. He should be immensely content with his life.

I don't understand taking offense to it, but I guess the line is different for everyone. I also didn't say that he was the drizzling shits. I just think he was way overpushed for a long time for obvious reasons. Which is far from a crazy stance, given how many have expressed it over many years.

I was never a fan of HHH as a performer, other than when he was used a foil to John Cena. And his history of political games and whatnot speak for themselves. That said, I do appreciate that he spent most of the last decade of his career trying to give back to the next generation of wrestling, whether through NXT or his Mania matches. And on a human level I'm of course very happy that he survived such a terrifying health scare.
Go enjoy time with your kids, Hunter. It's a luxury not many in wrestling get.

I think the issue would be more coming into a thread about a guy going into heart failure, thinking he may never see his kids again and talking about how overpushed he was. Maybe a valid argument to be had but doesn’t seem like the time and place.
