Lost all respect for him after this. It was clearly a harmless joke.
If only he kept that same energy for August.

That joke seemed rather tame, especially compared to when Chris Rock made fun of her for boycotting an awards show she wasn't invited to.

Will Smith is a bitch here. Men get made fun of ALLLLL the time for being bald, short, fat, even ugly like Steve Buschemi in the same exact situations and this was more of a GI Jane/movie joke (as Chris Rock said.

His wife has alopecia and it's f***ed her up badly mentally. It's been brought up so it's not something Chris wouldn't have been privy to beforehand. Chris should have known that and known to not cross the line. What points are there to earn for making a woman who is already suffering feel worse about herself? Saying "oh, men get made fun of" doesn't apply here. Alopecia is a traumatic experience for a lot of people, especially women. That being said, Will shouldn't have done it. I respect him for doing it and defending his wife who is suffering, but he's just as in the wrong for the moment as Chris was.

The return of "talk shit, get hit" is not something I think anyone had on their 2022 bingo card.

Chris shouldn't have made the joke and Will should have pulled him to the side backstage
Both wrong but Will is def more in the wrong for putting his hands on him

Why are people assuming Rock knew anything about Jada’s alopecia?

He's aware, they're still together, and anything beyond that is between the two of them.

Why are people assuming Rock knew anything about Jada’s alopecia? Because she has been very open about it

I mean, just confront him after the show. Comedians make bad jokes all the time. It’s not even normal for comedians to get assaulted for making bad or offensive jokes. And I get trying to defend your wife, but there is not justification to just waltz up on stage and assault him. Will Smith should be arrested, because if anyone else in the world did that, they’d have their ass in jail.
