So…they sent her back to NXT for a repackaging and the big idea was a motorcycle and can pull tabs on her jacket. Even Triple H’s NXT had some real stinkers The booking was really uninspired in the final year. They for some reason brought Ember and Toni back on the same night so neither got too much attention and then they each weren't booked especially well afterwards. There's a million examples of that. Like when they brought Ilya over for the sole purpose of beating Walter for the UK Title and in his first TV match, they have Pete Dunne beat him.

I also just realized how ridiculous it was that the writers didn't know Ember and Shotzi were a tag team. THEY WERE THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. ![](https://media.comicbook.com/2021/03/nxt-shotzi-blackheart-ember-moon-champions-1260959.jpeg?auto=webp&width=696&height=696&crop=696:696,smart)

It has to be absolutely wild (and for them, infuriating) that the trajectory of your career and ability to make a living in general is at the whims of a man who was already at-best described as "quirky" (who probably is also rapidly approaching senility) and how hot a bunch of 60+ year old men think you are.
I've never been a fan of Ember, but I certainly feel for her. You bust your ass and it doesn't work out for the most ridiculous reasons.

Also they just don’t care that much when it comes to most of the talent.

I also just realized how ridiculous it was that the writers didn't know Ember and Shotzi were a tag team. THEY WERE THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. I think there's a high chance they'll release a current title holder at some point. Well they did but I mean other than for understandable disciplinary reasons. (Annoyingly I specified accidentally in the yearly prediction thread)

Things are only going to get worse as long as the crypt keeper keeps his strangle hold on this company....because as long as he remains so does the goon troop.
We are deep in the midst of the most painful waiting game.

This turning into a f***ing stan war where everyone just gets petty because a whisper of a negative word detached from a judgment of a person was said, is a f***ing travesty. Too many people are still Weird About Women's Wrestling and it's turned the whole thing into a shitshow it doesn't have to be. Stans are the damn worst, man. This shouldn't be a referendum on if women can be sexy, and a bunch of people who didn't listen taking it out of context to paint her as shitting on Mandy have successfully let the actual meat of all the topic, which goes so much deeper than the sex stuff, slip away without a second thought. I know Ember didn't say it to put her down as she gave her praise after namedropping her but I feel bad for Mandy in that it seems like she's a nice woman who hasn't done anything wrong but now is going to get a lot of backlash because she's the poster girl for this vision they have of making sex appeal the main priority. Now Nia Jax is on Twitter stirring the pot about people “blackmailing” the top officials to keep their jobs and the comments are all basically trashing Mandy. Everything Ember said is valid but she’s also been around long enough to know that she was throwing Mandy right under the bus. She could of told a story about Mandy rescuing orphans from a burning building, it was always going to get buried under “They wanted us to be a ho like Mandy.”

Watching how Shotzi was buried last night just made Ember’s comments even more sad. Honestly, Shotzi was never going to do well on the main roster anyway, even if she was killing it in the ring. There's no way in hell someone like Vince is going to get a weird punk woman.

There's no way in hell someone like Vince is going to get a weird punk woman. It's one of the most infuriating problems with the whole "be more sexy" way. If the division is about wank fodder for a bunch of 55+ year old men then, amid everything else, you're going to see women who aren't deemed conventionally attractive by management just never given a shot, and the women whose styles and looks aren't exactly what they want, whether that's their bodies, their ethnicity, or their presentation and personality, aren't going to get a look. That applies for Shotzi and Ruby as punk girls, but that also applies for someone like Ember whose geeky warrior look is something that they have no time for either. When it's all about being sexy and looking sexy and being called sexy, then even before any of the ugly parts of that come in, any woman who doesn't fit what they think is sexy is already starting ten feet back.

I admit I'm no expert on legal definitions. But telling your employees "Hey if you want to keep your job or get pushed, dress sexier" is sexual harassment isn't it?

Likely, but whose going to take WWE to court without basically going bankrupt when they could easily say “You don’t have employee rights and also that guy is fired now” or whatever..

Sad part this is the same company that had both Dusty Rhodes(in '78) and Mick Foley pushed to main event positions, and paraphrase the Dream, they did not look like the athlete of the day. Even from a business standpoint they're kinda shooting themselves in the foot. There's something for everyone even when it's not conventional.

I doubt it as they weren't told so outright like that. Apparently they were "Fashion Consultant" meetings that weren't mandatory with a fashion expert where it was implied that's what they wanted but not said.
