I admit I'm no expert on legal definitions. But telling your employees "Hey if you want to keep your job or get pushed, dress sexier" is sexual harassment isn't it? On a related matter, it would be interesting to find out which NXT persons did not attend...and if they were part of the releases in November. Optional meeting and all, however were some 'punished' for refusing to go.

Just like a model, sex appeal is part of the expectation for the job. I doubt WWE is doing anything different than what they've always done.

It isn’t. But they pretend otherwise publicly.

I mean, as someone said, they ain’t going to be stupid enough to put that in writing. Like, it takes one Johnny Ace email to talent to end up with them being in potential trouble. Which is probably why they have these meetings where, if taken to court, they could just say “Oh, that wasn’t a usual practice and that guy was let go” and the case gets dropped.

I know WWE says Woman power this and Woman revolution that. but deep down they still have that old mentality. Dressing sexy gets you pushed.. I mean they hired priscilla kelly who is best known for shoving a tampon in someones match

And just to add to this while I remember it, WWE themselves almost ended up in court with Matt Riddle because some dumbass basically decided to send an email to the accuser about how they retracted their tryout place, basically giving the means for a lawyer to put the pieces together to accuse all involved. And that wasn’t the same sort of smoking gun my scenario would be.

That said, yes, it seems WWE is prioritizing certain looks over actual aptitude for pro wrestling.

There is always room for people like her. Just not everyone needs to be her.

I'd cut WWE some slack on the clothing issue if the meeting had been for both the male and female members of the roster. But it wasn't. Only one half was being "encouraged" to dress sexier. The women are athletes, just like the men, but they rarely get treated that way.

Weirdly Gigi is probably the best worker out of Toxic Attraction. Yet she’s only had like one singles match in NXT so far?

This isn't just about dressing sexier because if that was all it was I do not think many would have an issue outside of...we want you to dress like this backstage as well.
But that edect correlates to who gets pushes etc it is directly affecting ones career is what I got from what Ember is saying and THAT is the crux of the problem and is why alot of the clearly far superior talented woman have either been pushed/forced out such as Ember , completely de-emphasised such as Io or just plain buried to the wind such as Sarray.

If I'm not mistaken, the men already have a dress code they have to follow. Either approved athletic wear or a suit. Anything about dressing "sexier"? I really don’t think we know enough about this meeting/meetings to really know exactly what was up other than one person’s impression of it, but the report literally and explicitly says two things: 1) ‘dress sexy/sexier’ was never said and 2) they have nothing to tie Johnny Ace to this (although according to the report some talent blamed him for it as he’s the one who came in after HHH). Yet the responses immediately conclude ‘Johnny Ace told them they have to dress sexier.’ The other thing that puzzles me, and that I’d like clarified, is how they wanted the women to dress backstage. That can mean a lot of things. They shoot a lot of backstage segments and it would make sense that they’d want talent to dress a certain way for those, or in case they decided to shoot one of those with someone who was around while they had cameras and crew ready. I know I supervise student interns and sometimes they go out ‘in the field’ as part of their responsibilities and I generally give a short ‘don’t dress like a bum, remember you’re representing our company and you’re also representing yourself — you want to look presentable anytime you come into the office or go out in the field on an assignment.’ By which I explain no flip-flops/shorts/tee shirts/baseball caps/sweat pants, etc.

Yeah. It's pretty clear that if whoever is pushing this edict doesn't find you attractive/sexy (likely Johnny Ace if all the rumors/reports are true), then you are going to be either heavily deemphasized (ala Io Shirai), or outright buried like Sarray. I don't think its a coincidence that the most prominent women in NXT right now are Nikita Lyons and Toxic Attraction, four women who are pretty much thirst traps. And they are trying to get over Cora Jade and Roxanne but the WWE superfan gimmick is absolutely wretched. While the women like Io can't get any screentime at all (its hard to believe they can't find SOMETHING for her to do on camera even if she is injured), or just outright buried (Sarray).

People have said this and wouldn't shock me if it came to pass. They are putting emphasis on Nikkita Lyon being a thicker beautiful woman at the moment. But when she gets called up, Johnny Ace and company will demand she loses weight. My first thought was they didn't make Nia do that. Then again she was part of 'the family' and at the time they seemed to be changing their ways. Now who knows.
