It was the first full capacity WrestleMania on Peacock. Peacock allows like 30 million folks to freely watch Mania. It has like 15x the subscriber base of the WWE Network. It would be news if it wasn't the most watched Mania of all time. I'm also curious if they mean unique viewers or average viewers. The former just needs someone to watch for one minute to count. If that's what they used, it's even more meaningless.

The whole beating the Superbowl with social mentions makes sense when WrestleMania has multiple days (easy to argue Friday thru monday) and the Superbowl is about 4 hours.

They had that John Cena one a few months back, and out of the 500 on offer they only sold like 20-30 or so. So even when this stuff was hotter, WWE fans didn't give a shit. |
