I am going to have to object to this absoloute disrespect of the almighty bagel...raisin bagel with creame cheese = delicious heaven. Now bow to your new overlord THE COSMIC BAGEL! As an aside, Everything Everywhere All At Once is one of the best movies of the year. I hope you all see it, and I hope Sasha/Naomi see it while they’re cooling off. Got it back on topic!

I’m in the newer generation (I think?) but still have that more old-school view, minus the calling others lazy or entitled. In my view of what unprofessional is, you can both make the right decision for yourself and your mental well-being by walking away from a contractual obligation but still be considered unprofessional. They’re not mutually exclusive. It’s also a different situation here where they’re contracted to perform for a set period of time, as opposed to a typical job where you can quit at any time. I very seriously wonder if a WWE contract would hold up to a lawsuit... I’ve seen a lot of the talent contracts floating around online. The contract as a whole would likely hold up. The main question would be the independent contractor/employee designation and whether the classification of them as independent contractors would hold up. But the provisions in the contract are pretty typical.

It is my current movie of the year and deserves even more attention. The Sadness sits in at a nice beautiful gruesome second place. Now I wanna see someone in AEW rock the cosmic bagel...lookin at you Statlander.

Yeah, and I said it several other times in this thread, and I'll say it again: Bigger companies than WWE have absolutely no desire to see Independent Contractors gain any additional rights, so you would have companies like Uber joining in on the suit. And even if the contract was brought before a court of law, it's incredibly likely that the company would win the case, considering how anti-union/labor the courts are now. Because even if the plantiff won at a local or state level, the federal courts are packed with anti-labor judges right now, along with the supreme court itself.

I get the frustration. The booking made no sense, and what's even crazier is that it easily could have with a little tweaking. For instance....
Naomi pins Sasha.
Now there's dissension in the team, which costs them the tag belts.
The girls reconcile and try to get back on track leading into Naomi's title match.
Sasha costs Naomi the title match.
Sasha wins the other Women's title (or gets cost the match by Naomi)
Now the girls fight on a PLE on Peacock. And then probably have a rematch. And then do something else.
Instead, WWE wanted to go with....
Naomi pins Sasha, but it's fine with Sasha for some reason.
Both girls in the tag team get singles title matches! And both lose, so there's no future story there about Sasha fighting the person who beat her.
Oh, but they're still tag champs for some reason during all this. They'll fight someone at MITB. And after 2 months of no tag title storylines and both of you coming off losses that lead nowhere, why should you believe we'll now get behind you and your division? BTW? We totally have you girls in mind when booking these shows. Fix your attitude!
WWE tried to do the same thing with I want to say FTR. "Unhappy with creative? Eh, just put a tag belt on them. That'll shut 'em up and we'll think of something for them later maybe." Add to that the fact that Sasha has walked out before. You know she doesn't take BS well. But they didn't care and did it again anyway.
All that said? Maybe get squashed before you go home, but I get it. I've been miserable at companies before. The last thing I'd want to do is throw my body around for them while being miserable there.

In fact, every single report from journalists out there said the plan was for Naomi to pin Nikki ASH, and that Sasha and Naomi would never get physical with each other during the match.

Jim Cornette on his podcast has multiple times said due to the contracts he signed and what was in them and while in WWE that he’s surprised the independent contractor title hasn’t been challenge because he doesn’t think it would.

Seeing as different types of cereal seem to be the topic of choice. I’m curious for the UK and Ireland based posters of which I know there are a few of us. Warm milk with corn flakes or not ? Was it just those of us in this part of the world that got those multi packs with small boxes of cereal ? We always use to have the mini multipack cereals when we went away on holiday when I was young, to save us taking the big boxes with us 😀 I would never put warm milk on my cereals 😊 personal faves include shreddies & frosties.

AGain, the amount of companies (not even wrestling companies who let's be honest don't want that thread pulled either) that use the IC stuff like the WWE would basically mean that the WWE wouldn't lose a dime in defending it.
Secondly, the person challenging it would basically have to realize that their career would likely be over if they challenge it, even if they win. The WWE are going to be spiteful win or lose, and other wrestling promotions that use the IC clauses probably aren't going to want to deal with you either.

Because even if the plantiff won at a local or state level, the federal courts are packed with anti-labor judges right now, along with the supreme court itself. That really depends on the state, as there are still plenty of pro-labor judiciaries out there. And some state courts/agencies have already ruled against Uber when it comes to the independent contractor/employee status. I believe WWE’s contracts provide that any disputes be brought in the federal District Court of Connecticut. A decision there would be appealed to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals which would likely have a 3 person panel assigned to it out of the 13 active judges. Currently, there are 7 Democrat-appointed judges and 6 Republican-appointed judges.

Like I understand the desire to see someone fight it, a desire I happen to share....but what you stated above (and probably other reasons) that it hasn't happened yet and it's not as simple as the WWE alone flexing it's muscle.

I’m sick of all the people in this thread riding the fence or speaking on empty platitudes. So many god damn hypocrites on this forum, and none of you have the guts to speak the truth.
Pouring milk BEFORE putting the cereal in the bowl is a criminal offense, and a sign of someone who probably cheats on their taxes and/or wears white after Labor Day.
No sympathy, whatsoever.
sasha and Naomi are cool tho, they probably put the milk into the actual cereal box itself, god damn heroes

You throw some milk on Cap’n Crunch or Kix and you better eat fast or you’ve got a soggy mess. Gruel, basically. But some store-brand Frosted Flakes will hold up pretty well if you eat at a normal pace. Don’t even get me started on freaking Rice Krispies.

Sasha seems to be extremely unprofessional in real life.
Its behavior like this that will get her blacklisted from the business. From everything I've seen and heard from her, she's got a massive ego and thinks she's more important than she actually is.
She will get a massive wakeup call if WWE release her.
I'm not saying the booking isn't trash or anything but you can't go into business for yourself like this.
Somehow she's managed to convince Naomi to follow suit... Even though she was gonna get a big match on PPV.... What?
Knowing WWE, they'll probably fire Naomi and keep Sasha now. 🙄
If this is a work to make Sasha and Naomi "cool rebels" like Hall and Nash then fair play. Everyone is buying it.
