Been a minute since seen the movie but why would have to defend it? Voice changer has been in every Scream movie

Nuking the fridge in Indy 4.
Did the movie still suck? Yes.
However...put yourself in that situation. What would you do? Indy did the best in that situation given the circumstances. Granted, you would die regardless, but if we overlook the fact that a regular person would die within 2 minutes of an Indy adventure anyways, then it's okay if the physics of the universe are bent.
I would rather the universe react stupid as opposed to a character do a stupid thing. Case in point; Pointless sword fight on top of the truck.

So in Phantom Menace (a movie I have a lot of other problems with) a lot of people make an issue about how after Watto wouldn't take Qui-Gon's Republic Credits, Qui-Gon didn't try another trader or see if he could find someone to exchange his credits with for something more useful. But think about it, Qui-Gon and company are essentially very high profile fugitives on the run from a ruthless enemy in hostile and incredibly corrupt territory. Qui-Gon was already lucky that Watto wasn't more suspicious when Qui-Gon tried to do a Jedi mind trick on him. The fewer people they keep in their circle the better, and if they start shopping around then the more people that are going to start asking questions the Jedi are not prepared to answer.

High ground is bloody useful to have in a fight. More so if you're fighting in a corridor or staircase, sure. Still bloody useful. Trying to wrack my brains about this...I seem to recall that the original intention with the fridge was that Indy could climb inside it to be protected by the lead, but not that he would be blown dozens of miles into the air before getting out. Feel like it's somewhere were you had two different ideas - Lucas for the fridge, Spielberg wanting to make it look spectacular - but doing both make it more unbelievable than either separately. Indy staring at the nuclear blast is one of my favourite moments of the franchise, funnily enough. A real "welcome to the new world" moment.

Sometimes, people get really angry about a character doing something illogical in a film and don't ask the question of, "But does it make sense for THIS character to make this mistake?"
Case in point, Infinity War, Starlord's error in judgment. In that moment, that is what that character would do. Losing people is a particularly harsh thing on him, and as we saw in GOTG 2, he will lose his cool in these situations over it, even if it puts him in danger. Not saying these movies are high cinema or anything, but these are not flaws in the films themselves.
That level of criticism makes me wonder if these types of people would have an absolute meltdown watching Othello.

I don’t know why this scene in particular is used to beat the film with a stick, I mean Temple of Doom had them jump out of a plane and land on a snow covered mountain without any bumps even

"POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!"
Best part in the entire movie. The bit before where Hopkins slips back into a Welsh accent is the icing on the cake.

No, the writer put him in that situation. If surviving a nuke in a fridge is the only solution to the problem then dont write the problem in the first place. There was no real reason for the nuke scene that could not have been done another, less stupid way.

Like riding the rocket to outrun the nuke.

The fewer people they keep in their circle the better, and if they start shopping around then the more people that are going to start asking questions the Jedi are not prepared to answer. When I first saw this problem years ago I simply leaned on Qui Gon's "have patience and a solution will present itself" philosophy of the Force. And lo and behold it worked. Because that's how the Force works. He sensed the Force around Anakin and just decided to let the Force work it's Fate.

Sometimes, people get really angry about a character doing something illogical in a film and don't ask the question of, "But does it make sense for THIS character to make this mistake?" Or more generically coming up with a more sensible plan from the comfort of your sofa, especially in horror movies. Sleep deprived poeople in high stress situations that have just seen several brutal murders might not make the best decisions. Thankfully the pandemic and other recent events has largely removed this criticism. Nothing is an unbelievable reaction now no matter how illogical.

Midichlorians. How else do Jedi find other force sensitive? Planets submitting health records of newly borns to a government database and Jedi having access to those with high Midichlorian rates would make sense for recruiting.

I don't necessarily hate the idea of there being something detectable within force sensitive people. But the explanation that the midichlorians are basically what gives force users their powers is just awful. It injects too much science into the magic for me. Switch it to being organism that are drawn to force users instead there being a causal link, and it works much better I think.

I still defend the Ewoks to this day.
Star Wars is supposed to be about the underdogs triumphing because the bad guys underestimated them. Besides the Ewoks were better camouflaged, fighting on their home terrain, and had sheer weight of numbers.
Not to mention it wasn't like they won single-handedly. The tide didn't really turn until Chewbacca commandeered that AT-ST.
