At least one of the pluses from the show was Bianca took the pinfall.
So at least IYO and Sky get their win back sort of, from losing the tag titles on Monday.

So there's a rematch set for next week's RAW.
This is probably the place where WWE will want to pull the titles off of Raquel and Aliyah. Because woo boy they displayed no chemistry at all tonight, and the audience did not care about them outside of Raquel's powerbomb spot on Doudrop. And in typical fashion, Raquel wrestled 95%+ of the match while Aliyah did a few more moves than usual, still wasn't good in the slightest.
I also feel like if Damage CTRL loses next week, they aren't getting the tag titles any time soon, if ever. And that would be a massive mistake, since they are one of the few actual threats and draws on the show.

I assume they win unless there's interference. Tonight was also Raquel's first successful tag title defense, in her third reign.

Also, Raquel & Aliyah don't have many challengers since they have basically beaten every Heel team on the main roster(Shotzi & Xia and Natalya & Sonya during the tournament and Nikki & Doudrop last night on Raw)

Unfortunately I see them probably keeping it on Raquel and Aliyah. Likely another Bianca distraction finish. Also I feel if they were going to put it on Control then they would've won the tag tournament. What would be the point of putting it on Raquel and Aliyah if they were just going to lose it in two weeks while also pointlessly hurting a lot of Control's momentum. Either way there really isn't a lot of options for either team. If last Tuesday is an indicator it looks like Toxic Attraction is staying in NXT for the forseeable future and that really leaves only Nikki and Doudrop as the only other heel team and Aliyah and Raquel beat them tonight. All Control would have is I guess Alexa and Asuka if they are going to even continue that pairing.

Yeah, which sucks because like...Raquel/Aliyah have negative levels of chemistry but they just won the tag titles, so WWE is in a bad spot with them. Likewise, if Damage CTRL loses in pretty much any fashion again next week, the group is pretty much dead in the water. It'll be really hard to take Dakota and Iyo as serious threats when they are just around to play backup for Bayley. Like the baffling thing is that WWE could have easily avoided this by...you know, NOT PUTTING THE TITLES ON RAQUEL AND ALIYAH IN THE FIRST PLACE.

After a promising start by Hunter it is alarming how things in the women's divisions still haven't changed that much, Doudrop needs a complete repackage,Nikki needs to drop the gimmick, Shotzi needs to be a babyface and Raquel needs to be heel and both women's rosters need boosting with more varied and experienced talent. And they actually need proper women's teams rather then throwing together a pair.

They liked Raquel's powerbomb spot on Doudrop, but that was pretty much it. The audience really didn't care about them otherwise. Like...I think WWE was really hoping that putting the tag titles on them would get them over, but like...they were a thrown together team in a tournament that was basically made for Damage CTRL. And then Triple H for god knows what reason, decided to do a dumb as hell swerve and put the titles on Raquel/Aliyah. Which is doing way more harm than good. Plus you have to imagine where the hell do both groups go if Raquel/Aliyah retain next week? Because Iyo and Dakota need some really strong wins of their own if Triple H wants to present them as big stars. Likewise, Raquel/Aliyah have already beaten every other heel team in the division clean (With Damage CTRL being the only exception). And if they try to have Sasha and Naomi return as heels, it'll backfire massively on WWE. Meanwhile Damage CTRL still has all of the heel teams to go after (considering they've openly antagonized every other woman on the roster), and some of the babyface teams as well. Like...the only way I can see Damage CTRL getting another shot at the titles is if Bianca causes a DQ (giving DC the victory), setting up something like a winner take all match at Extreme Rules. They can have Damage CTRL pin Aliyah to get all of the gold in one fell swoop. But that would be dumb as well, because Bianca needs to just straight up lose her title when its time. Basically, WWE can't keep kneecapping Damage CTRL and expect fans to actually get behind them (or against them). Support for the group is already evaporating on some other places like Reddit (but Raquel/Aliyah aren't getting that support either). I mean in terms of engagement, Damage CTRL is outpacing Raquel/Aliyah by a fairly wide margin still, but we don't know how much longer that will last either. There's also the wildcard factor of the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions. Where KC/KC have been pushing hard to unify the women's tag titles with the main roster ones, storyline wise. And I doubt they are going to do face vs face if a unification match happens. Plus Damage CTRL's mission statement is basically to take over the entire women's division on RAW, Smackdown, and NXT.

And CTRL can lose and still be fine, they’re clearly going to be in the thick of the main title picture as well with Bianca. Not everything needs to be rushed. That being said, I can see CTRL winning next week, and Sasha/Naomi redebuting immediately after the match.

That being said, I can see CTRL winning next week, and Sasha/Naomi redebuting immediately after the match. I mean...the main title picture in what role? Basically just being flunkies for Bayley. That's what their role would be. There's literally no chance Iyo or Dakota get the title from Bianca. They might get a title match, but there's zero chance Bianca loses to them. And that's bad, because it basically cements Iyo and Dakota as women inferior to Bianca. Being in the "main title scene" means nothing if they aren't actively competing for the title and just being goons for Bayley. This is why WWE has a problem making new stars. They are too afraid to pull the trigger on an act like Damage CTRL, and would rather just have Dakota and Iyo be heaters for Bayley. That's what it's going to boil down to if Damage CTRL loses next week. And I don't think it's a hot take that Dakota and Iyo should be more than just heaters for Bayley. They should be wrestling way more, and actually having success on the main roster. Triple H messed up REAL bad by putting the tag titles on Raquel and Aliyah, and now they need to course correct if they want to salvage Damage CTRL at all, and make Dakota and Iyo feel special. Because if they lose to Raquel and Aliyah again, I don't think they'll ever feel special again as a group.

What’s the rush to throw them into the main event singles scene? They should be around for years and there’s little fear that they’ll just be mothballed and released as there would be under Vince.

I'm not saying they need to be winning the main title if you want to keep them with Bayley. However, if they are supposed to be "very good wrestlers in the tag division", then they should probably be winning the tag titles next week. I would also argue that if they don't win next week, that the group may as well split up, because it's not helping anyone at that point. It'll only tell more casual fans (the ones that don't follow NXT) that Iyo and Dakota are nothing special and really aren't a big deal. Especially since Damage CTRL had a huge debut at Summerslam, did okay in the tournament (although realistically they should have completely rolled over Dana and Tamina), and then fell flat on their faces in the finals because Triple H just couldn't help himself and pulled out a pointless swerve that helps no one.

This group is supposed to be “taking over.” You cannot already be having two of them lose multiple big matches. Especially not to freaking Aliyah. Bayley being the only one who wins big matches, and Iyo and Dakota just being her flunkies, is NOT the most interesting way to do this.
Problem is they’ve booked themselves into a corner here. Either Iyo and Dakota win, at which case Raquel and Aliyah only had like a three week reign and you have people going “then why have them win the first match to begin with?”
Or you have Iyo and Dakota lose again, which really hurts the credibility of your new big heel group.
Or you do a lame DQ/count out/whatever finish, which solves nothing.

The Vince option (assuming he would have actually had this group come up in the first place): Raquel betrays Aliyah, joins Bayley's group, loses the titles that way.
