So much for that stadium strategy!

Yeah, they definitely need to start rethinking this, "More stadiums, MORRRRE!" approach. Money in the Bank is pretty handily the biggest of the B PPVs (and I'd argue bigger than Survivor Series) so if it can't sell that should tell you something.

WWE's rode out the post-lockdown boom as well as they could but I do wonder if now that the novelty has worn off, we aren't going to see attendance backslide again.

They should just have it at a half empty stadium. wWE now makes most of the same mistakes WCW and TNA did they might as well have the shows looking like theirs.

It's offseason for The Golden Knights and The Raiders, and the A's haven't moved to Vegas yet. Any reason for WWE not selling out The Big Roomba?

The old Wrestlemania 7 strategy.
Seems a little odd considering they’d already sold more tickets than the capacity for MGM Grand Arena.

Thing is, even if they sell half the seats, they can set the stage up so that it looks full like they did at the Rumble or last year’s Summerslam. Still over a month to go for the show, too.

They had already sold 24K tickets before even announcing a card. Probably could have easily gotten it to 35K by the show and then papered it and gotten it to 40K which would have looked fine on TV. Not sure why they would downsize and take an L like that.
EDIT: Misread a wrestletix tweet. They had only sold 16,000 as of the last count. So yeah tickets definitely stalled. So much for trying to make this a stadium show. But MITB will probably sell out the MGM Grand which is fine.

Attendance has been going up in recent months, especially for TV right around the time Brock came back, and then they kept momentum when Cody came back.

Should also note UFC 276 is that weekend at T-Mobile Arena and it's a HUGE card. Assuming that played a role in tickets not moving as quickly.

Not surprised as it doesn't appear that Roman will be defending at this show or Brock appearing.

If Ortons back injury is as severe as some places seem to be making it out to be then it would explain not doing that match at MITB and possibly pushing it back to summerslam again if Orton cannot go.

I’m pretty sure his injury is just in kayfabe.
