I’m surprised Belichick doesn’t bring Cam back in. Honestly he has some value on short yardage and goal to go situations and Mac Jones had trouble in the red zone They moved on from Cam to let Mac Jones know this is his show Cam has the nicknames and all that but he still can carry bad body language. You don't want Jones looking over his shoulder if he struggles and Cam said himself he had trouble with the playbook I get it, but Mac got babied most of last season, time to step up and see if he’s got a set on him. Newton can’t throw 5 yards in front of him, he’s very limited but has a unique skill set

Cam does help as short goal on the 1 but you'll basically be carrying 3 QBs on the roster for games to open that spot

My fear is they run the most basic of basic offenses and don’t have the talent to make it work.

Unless they somehow can find that 24+ women got together to frame Watson then he’s at the very least missing another season. Could even be worse. Here's the issue, the Browns aren't gonna suspend him like Houston did.. If the league tried to do some type of indefinite thing, he'll try to fight that. 2 grand juries voted not to move forward which is why this is a civil matter.

Grand juries are normally mere formalities. They are structured in a way that heavily favors the prosecution. There are two cases where failure to get an indictment from a grand jury occurs. The first is when a prosecutor does not want to actually prosecute the person facing charges and uses the grand jury to put a stop to proceedings. The second is when a celebrity is involved. A sports figure would play even more into that second one as there had to be fans on the jury of either the team or Watson himself. The failure to get an indictment definitely helped both the Texans and Watson, so someone might have done him a sold .

In lighter stuff, the Colts have apparently done a fair amount of creating impromptu high school reunions. 3 of their players went to the same high school in TX, 2 from the same school in MD, 2 from the same school in CA, and 2 from the same school in GA. That’s neat.

I see that the Texans have been dragged back into the Watson mess as they will be added as dependents to the upcoming cases. Given the info that’s come out in the past day, if Watson was completely upfront with the browns or the league.
And jack del Rio has had to back peddle faster than a CB caught out on a play after his comments about a certain event at the US congress(hopefully that’s vague enough).

It’s infuriating the rams can spend every dollar under the sun but the Niners had to trade Deforest Buckner for the 13th pick,
Fxxx LA and their infinite money.

So I guess the rams have proved that the salary cap seems to be an invention made up by bad teams to explain why they can't/couldn't sign someone

Oh, to be for certain they may very well hit the skids in the hardest way possible in a couple of years. It's impossible to play around with the cap in the manner they are and not paint yourself into a corner eventually.

Rams basically said that they don't need draft picks and spend money like it's nothing. And it works.

Here's the issue, the Browns aren't gonna suspend him like Houston did.. If the league tried to do some type of indefinite thing, he'll try to fight that. 2 grand juries voted not to move forward which is why this is a civil matter. I previously a few posts up said that it was possible that the DA might have not wanted to actually try Watson. I now believe that to be true. They only had one accuser testify in front of the grand juries, despite the fact that he was being looked at for a series of offenses. As a result, it was reduced to a single "he said/she said" scenario where one woman was supposed to be testifying that he serially acted bad against a bunch of women. In other words, they deliberately did not establish his pattern for the grand juries, which considering he was being accused of having a pattern of criminal behavior in the first place means that they deliberately tanked the proceedings. Honestly, I don't know if the issue is a multi-tiered justice system that favors rich people like Watson, a misogynistic justice system that does not value women the same way as men, or the celebrity factor that taints any legal proceedings featuring a celebrity. I think all three favored Watson. I don't know why I thought that it might be possible that Watson would face legitimate justice.

On the rams employing previous unknown dark arts of the salary cap, as a non rams fan It annoys me but also I can see it from the rams point of view which is win now and last I checked the winnings teams salary cap number isn’t in the standings or on the Lombardi trophy.

I'd gladly have my team (Vikings) suck shit for years if it meant they blew a ton of money and picks on winning 1 Superbowl. Sign me the F up!
