Payton getting total control bad move... Denver lost... Two 1st Round Picks ('22 and '23) Three 2nd Round Picks ('22, '23, and '24) One 5th Round Pick ('22 '25) LB Bradley Chubb (to acquire '23 MIA FRP) QB Drew Lock TE Noah Fant DE Shelby Harris Up to $243M on Russell Wilson An unknown amount on Sean Payton Denver gained... QB Russell Wilson HC Sean Payton RB Chase Edmonds One 3rd Round Pick ('24) Two 4th Round Picks ('22 and '24) Ehh, other than the first this year and the money paid to Russ, I don't see any of that a huge loss. We suck and chances need to be taken. Lock was a lost cause, Fant was in a deep TE room, Harris is good but not irreplaceable, Chubb is a constant injury risk that was gone anyway, and picks are a mystery (though I'd prefer to have them yes). Even in the long run the money to Russ can be offset by converting it to bonuses and raises in the cap. The money to Payton doesn't matter as the ownership group isn't hurting for that. The big hit, to me, is to our image with the joke this search was. All that said, I have more optimism about the coming seasons than I did in the past. We finally have ownership again, a QB I think still has something left (maybe not much but enough), and a coach that knows how to coach. All of that is far more than we've had since before we last won the SB. Nah, three 2nds for a team like this hurts, and it will show in due time.

The end of his press conference after the cowboys gave off the vibe of a man who was saying goodbye to the game. Now it's official

Something like SF would have been kinda interesting to watch, but otherwise goodbye to the GOAT.

When it's out there now that Payton is getting 17-20 mill per for 5 years...sounds like a money grab. That he literally gave them a number so high he didn't think they'd do it and when they did he had to take the job...I wonder if a part of him is like motherf*** I gave them that number cause I didn't want that.

Eagles' Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges Why a guy being investigated on such charges gets invited to any team's camp is beyond me. This involves an incident in 2019, so there should be no chance that no one had heard about the incident during the drafting process.

The Bills drafted a punter that had allegations, most teams really don't care.

Remember when Lawrence Phillips was drafted like 6th overall? He has to be up there as one of the worst picks of all time. Dude should have been kicked off of Nebraska never mind getting drafted. Damn.

The Bills drafted a punter that had allegations, most teams really don't care. Yes and no. La’el Collins went undrafted because he didn’t get cleared of charges until the last day of the draft. Don’t get me wrong; even getting cleared of charges gives me the squicks based on how such things get “investigated” on campus. Even though he was allegedly cleared, my elation from Pat McAfee’s fantastic announcement of Bobby Okereke’s drafting by Colts subsided after learning he was accused of rape the previous year.

And people passed on Aaron Hernandez because he allegedly had off field issues. And we’ll, they were wise to do so

Damn. What a crazy 1st round 1996 was. Hall of Famers, but also guys involved with murders. Ray Lewis and Marvin Harrison being both. Phillips' main issue apparently was that he wasn't good enough at football to get away with murder.
