Well, that's not gonna help mend those bridges with Punk. "John, my diet... soda!"

Can we get red and blue ropes back? Agreed. Raw and Smackdown need distinct stages too. No more big generic LED screens. They had it right in 2019-20 with the Smackdown arches and Raw ramp.

One thing Meltzer cautioned in regards to potential changes is that Stephanie’s vision for and understanding of pro wrestling is largely influenced by her father, so it’s quite possible that some Vince philosophy remains.
But as others have said, it’s just too premature to get a real gauge for what might be different. I think there might be some kind of reset after SummerSlam, but it’s gonna be status quo through then, you would assume.

Were promos scripted down to the word a Vince thing? Even last night the Profits seemed more tolerable and hype than normal, and not really obnoxious forced hype like actual hype. Dawkins fire was new. Imagine a world where folks who can handle it get bullet points and can do a little bit of their own thing! Dave mentioned the scripting actually came as part of Stephanie and her writing committees but there was a relaxation apparent on Friday. Considering Vince’s iron grip for all the years, I think coasting for a bit might be their plan until they find their groove in a “post-Vince” wwe. I just hope NXT looks a little black and gold again mixed with a Toxic Attraction. Honestly, Triple H is gonna have a million new responsibilities dealing with the main roster itself, I doubt he's gonna have much time to do much about NXT.

I mean Vince is still majority owner and her father which no doubt influences her a lot, he is still basically running the company.

If Dunn does go then that's going to be a very early visible change, I assume they'll promote a nxt producer.
Entrance music and the women's division are two things that WWE were once strong at and their decline coincided with HHH's loss of influence so hopefully those are early reversals.

I suspect things like the announcers not being allowed to say Drew McIntyre's name without saying "The Scottish Warrior" first came from Stephanie. She was Chief Branding Officer, and that seems to me like attaching a brand name to Drew. Otherwise, what does a Chief Branding Officer actually do?

He had also mentioned that Stephanie would likely be more flexible than Vince when it came to unscripted promos. I also would have to think she isn't going to be micromanaging everything either. She will probably be working more on the business side of things with Khan, to be honest.

I’m already seeing and hearing small changes that make the show more tolerable.

We're all kind of taken it for granted that Vince isn't going to Tony Soprano/backseat this thing, but, if I were to wish for anything, it's that I never have to hear to word 'stupendous' spoken with a straight face again. How about a "Good Old Fashioned" Battle Royal or Donnybrook? Donnybrook is always a weird one because it takes my mind a second to process they're not talking about a super-affluent area of Dublin.

Important question - does Triple H get a boner nowadays? they wouldnt give him his old job back until he could confirm he can sexually satisfy his wife again

Considering Vince’s iron grip for all the years, I think coasting for a bit might be their plan until they find their groove in a “post-Vince” wwe. Thing is, the scripting has never been the issue, it’s not allowing talent to tweak things to make it work for their character. Jericho says he would always look at the script and then make changes so it sounded more natural and fit his character, more people need to be allowed to do that. Or the writers need to be sitting one on one with the wrestlers they’re writing promos for so they get their input. Also, easing up on the super unnatural “WWE Universe” sorta speak will definitely help the promos. That’s really the biggest problem, it’s not that they are scripted it’s that they’re scripted in a manner that sounds so f***ing unnatural.

The only way for WWE to be as bad without Vince as it was with him, they would actively have to try.
As much as Stephanie is her fathers daughter and like him in many ways she is not him. Human nature alone (everyone being different, mentally and personality wise) will make it impossible for things to stay the same.
Unless I have missed something, Stephanie is a normal, level headed, relatable human being.

By all accounts she’s a gem of a person, people have spoken poorly of her work when she lead creative but pretty much everyone I can recall speaks really highly of their actual personal interactions with her.
