Glad they’re going to Canada (and UK later this year apparently) but a little surprised they chose a 7K-seat minor league hockey arena and not a bigger one. I think they could easily to 10K.

Damn, that's still a bity too far a call from Montreal for me to be able to make with a sick relative to care for, but this is a very good sign. Toronto is the dead obvious feeler attempt, but if it can work out, the other major wrestling cities can't be far behind.

I believe Tony Khan said that Montreal was on the short list of other potential Canadian cities (Along with Calgary and Edmonton) so yeah if this Toronto show sells out and is well received then the other Canadian hot spots will more than likely get their turn down the line.

This is big. Hopefully Nicole Matthews can at least get a match on Elevation or Dark since she's still unable to wrestle in the U.S. until next year.

Nicole Matthews has been one of the top wrestlers I wish could be in AEW. Try to get Portia Perez to manage someone while they're at it...

Much like when an American sports team plays in Canada, it will be interesting to play "guess who isn't vaccinated" by who isn't at the show.
But yeah, I'm surprised they're doing such a small arena for the Toronto show. Toronto's a big wrestling town. I think they could've easily ran Scotiabank Arena.

I could be wrong but I've heard WWE has exclusive rights for hosting wrestling events at Scotiabank arena, and even if not true, I'd imagine it would be tough to squeeze in an event between NHL and NBA games along with scheduled concerts.

I think they could have sold 30k in a bigger venue for one show. Seems like a miss on AEW’s part.

I think they could have sold 30k in a bigger venue for one show. Seems like a miss on AEW’s part. A PPV would’ve sold 30k in the SkyDome. I still feel a pre announced Jericho/Omega III would sellout IG Field in Winnipeg,, which is about 35k
