My biggest disappointment with AEW has been the use of Shawn Spears...I was so stoked when he hit Cody that it meant he was going to be a featured player and nope...Hell even the Sportscaster style thing they did was intriguing but he is still considered a less important wrestling chairman than La Parka and that upsets me. I had higher hopes for Spears off the jump too but I think in being MJF’s lackey, he did some of his best work. I mean I don't think anyone including Spears thought he was a main player... he was allegedly fine with being an over jobber to the stars in the WWE... it's just that WWE weren't even using him in that capacity.

Hurts to say but Black would've have been best suited as a dark, loner, babyface named Tommy End. Kicking everyone's head off every week. That is a main event talent that right now is very mid.

Honestly the Dark Order needs a clean break. Uno is mostly around at this point to run their gaming channel and stuff like that. Best Friends and OC I'm reluctant to give up on with the Trios titles but it's a close thing. Really should have received a tag title run at some point after they played a decent part in making the early times of the pandemic era entertaining. The Miro stuff and the street fight with P&P were classics. Nyla at this point is in the Big Show role it feels like. Monster meant to be beaten. Nothing more. I do think turning her face would be a huge boost in her presentation. As one of the bigger women on the roster, it’s super easy to book Nyla as a heel, but she’s a natural babyface and I think they gotta freshen her up and turn her.

He was there. Man was coming off like a megastar body’ing Cody and anybody in sight. Then he lost their third(?) match. Then he was all about HOB. He could regain that clout, I think. Maybe.

He could if he ends Sting streak, he badly needs a big win over a top star.

This week has me extremely worried about the women’s division. Nobody is stepping up. And because the booking isn’t going to do a damn thing for them, somebody has to. The Statlander/Athena and Jade/Baddies stuff has been getting maybe a segment a week for almost two months now and they've been involved in one match at this point. It's absurd how pointlessly slow this is. If Tony actually gave a shit about moving the women's division on that side ahead, he could easily do something like an Athena/Statlander best of five to face Jade at All Out. Both are stupid good together and are capable of truly special matches. As for the remainder of the point, basically any remaining Joshis around. Riho/Shida had their reigns but they don't really even get on TV anymore. Yuka is great but also gets nothing. Emi is just on Dark all the time and she's great there, but it's pointless to limit her that much.

On the topic of DO, anytime they come up or appear now I think “Dark order is dead”. So, yeah. Andrade. Pillman Jr. That’s on them though. Ethan Page and Dante Martin are getting close too. in the case of Dante he's still very, very young so plenty of time Hes also injury prone too

As the topic creator, I might as well offer my list:
*Anyone that was in the AFO/HFO (why I created this): Private Party started out as one of the biggest up and coming tag teams in AEW and they seemed to have big plans for them in the future, but in 2022 all they do is job, and it makes you wonder what the hell happened that caused them to go from "the future of the division" to "eat pins, shitheads". Butcher and Blade have had the jobber stink the entire time they've been in the company, and it's at the point where I get angry when I see them on TV because I know exactly what will happen. Angelico was practically kept off television because God forbid you put Jack Evans on TV, and I will stand by that! Andrade? Well, Andrade has done zero favors for himself while everyone else that has been a part of the group has been at the mercy of being booked to lose. *Orange Cassidy: "Congratulations, you win a feud against Chris Jericho, what's your reward? Losing a TNT title match and the annual Ring bullshit with MJF!" *Sonny Kiss: This one made me f***ing mad given I knew exactly what AEW was gonna do; present her in a Pride Month commercial but not put her on actual TV. I know there are people out there who go "EW!" when they see anything remotely LGBT+ even in 2022 but don't do half-hearted attempts. You made things worse. *Scorpio Sky: I know Scorpio is unpopular and made fun of on here, but they have done nothing for him in spite of how often he's on television. To think you go from going toe-to-toe with the AEW Champion and beating the Young Bucks to... well, this. *Dark Order: The Dark Order had their moment to go from "weirdos" to "legitimate", and AEW used that moment to crush them decisively. You can't keep reheating them by having them beat the Factory every week on Dark or Elevation and expect them to stay popular. *Ricky Starks/Powerhouse Hobbs: I really wanted them to be higher in the card, but after they did that Darby Allin "feud" where he walked all over Team Taz despite them being 500 pounds bigger than him, I just realized that they weren't going to be legit acts but enhancement muscle. *Diamante: I mean, it's been well over a year since she's been on TV, and they couldn't even find a justification. *Ruby Riot: I'm sorry, but you can't lose feuds and expect to be treated seriously. *Hell, the entire women's division besides Britt Baker: I don't want to rant about this for too long. It derails threads and makes people angry.

Putting Starks and Hobbs on there after last week is certainly a choice.

If there was one person tho? God damn I rly wanted that Santana run but I can't imagine that happens now. I remember when Mox stabbed Santana in the eye and he just laughed like a maniac and it made him look like a killer. I was sure he would break out to be a huge singles star. Sadly never happened.

The end of the first TERMINUS show where Santana just walked out real slow to NY State Of Mind was probably the exact point I thought okay yeah this is The Dude. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} WOULD BE A SHAME IF THE MATCHUP THAT IT WAS BUILDING TO ENDED WITH EVERYTHING BEING ABOUT JON GRESHAM AND THE REFEREE BUT HEY

The fact that Sonny Kiss couldn't even get a token Dynamite or Rampage appearance when they were running vignettes for her during Pride Month was absolutely depressing. I've always gotten the impression that Tony and others in AEW just aren't that impressed with Sonny. I'm not their biggest fan but it is perplexing. Like a guy like Janela was at least given a chance

-Ruby is my big one. She NEEDED to win the belt from Baker a few months back. She could get that heat back but it really feels like they dropped the ball on her hard.
-Also sadly Orange, he's not recovered from being boarder line burred by the Elite and has pretty much been the third wheel for The Best Friends. A comedy gimmick on the upper card could work but man they have not given Orange a chance.
-Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page are another where I feel like they could be so much more than they are.
-I know some say Starks and Hobbs but I'm at wait and see with them, especially since they broke them up and I kind of want to see how they play this out.

I'm seeing names listed of people who've had title reigns/ been featured in big matches for championships pretty recently.
They might not currently be where you think they should, but to say they won't achieve ANYTHING in AEW is odd.
Folks I legit expect nothing out of: Aaron Solo
JD Vance/Peter Avalon and Cesar Bononi probably won't achieve much more than they currently have, Ryan Nemeth probably has the biggest upside out of that group
Butcher and Blade are pretty much designated jobbers despite having 2 of the coolest looks in AEW
I'll be shocked if we ever see Leva Bates in a televised match again

in the case of Dante he's still very, very young so plenty of time Hes also injury prone too The main thing to me is that he always looks like he's about to burst into tears. (And he isn't perfect yet at the pacing of his big spots within a match, but working with Sydal has already helped him a lot there.)

You can probably think of Leva Bates as a part-time wrestler by this point. Her "real job" at AEW is behind the scenes. And since Brandi left, those backstage responsibilities likely only increased.
