Ok but the real question is how Jim Cornette is going to spin this against the Bucks. "IF THEY WERE REAL MEN, LIKE DR. DEATH, THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!!" *Sips Sprite* If it'd been Dr. Death instead of the Bucks/Omega, it wouldn't have been a skirmish with some punches and biting. Someone would end up hospitalized. I don't think that's any better

Even Mark Sterling wouldn't rely on that defense. I will let you know Mark Sterling is also an lawyer, like a lot of graduates from harvard,

"f*** WITH WITH ME?!?!" *Doc blasts Jimmy again* " AH, f***!!"

This situation gets weirder and weirder.
I cannot think of someone I'd rather not do something criminal near than the Chief Legal Officer, and yet Ace Steel went beyond the pale.
And I cannot think of a bigger sign of "THIS IS NOT GONNA BE FIGHT" than having the Chief Legal Officer there, and yet Punk still threw hands.

It seems today, that all you see, is violence in Locker Rooms and Vacated Titles on TV, but where are those good old fashioned values, on which we used to rely? Sadly there's that Christopher Guy, sadly there's a man who, absolutely can do, all the things that make us roll our eyes

Actually, focusing on the good here, this is at least a sign that Wrestling is maturing just a bit.
I know that sounds stupid, but hear me out:
If this had been done in the territory days, there's a good chance CM Punk ends up in an emergency room if not worse. Yeah, someone took a chair to the eye and I hope he's okay, but biting, punching, and hair pulling is just playground shit compared to the days of a Steiners, Steve Williams, Dynamite Kid era locker room.

I trust zero wrestling news reporters for a lot of reason, but if that's even remotely true... a halfway decent lawyer is going to carve Punk up. Could just be that all this radio-silence is just making sure that you don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I've been wondering about that as we enter the third week of suspension for those involved. Either they're being very cautious or another shoe is gonna drop. Think they’re being extremely cautious. No one must want this to become a legal thing, except Punk’s side, which seem to be using it as a threat. The Elite’s EVP status muddles things as does an “unsafe working” environment. Can’t stress how much of a bitch move this is after Punk had already shown unprofessional behavior on the job, the scrum in itself, inviting said parties to come in, only to initiate with a “Sucker Punch” because Punk inhabits Minority Report Precognitive abilities. None of it makes sense, including the Steel thing with his wife. Lest we forget the walked back accusation of Bucks superkicking the door in. It sounds like the biggest BS. But even if Megha came in with The Bucks, think about how much petty, nonsensical shit can and does go to trial and again AEW/Tony/The Elite surely don’t want that.

I actually was thinking this the other day...Punk has certainly revealed himself to be, probably, the single most toxic locker room presence in modern wrestling. The fact that he is, apparently, trying to justify being the obvious aggressor by saying that he was, essentially, preemptively defending himself only reaffirmed what a dick he is. But, like, the worst injury anyone got from this was a chair to the eye. In the 90s, we probably would have gotten an Arn, Sid, scissors story coming out of this. And, like you said, in the territory days? Yeesh...

To be fair to Punk, if two physical specimens like the Young Bucks just superkicked a goddamn metal door down you’d want to get the jump on them too. LMAO.
