I think I've changed my mind on whether this thread has run its course or not.

Maybe you're the toxic one. I had a full page of people deliberately misconstruing my post because I didn't agree with everyone with my opinion that everyone had parts to blame. But yeah, I'm the toxic one. When you post something into an ether that can be misconstrued and don't correct or clarify what you meant, and instead go right to "The AEW Board is so toxic, this is why I don't post here anymore", I think that is also a problem Not calling you toxic, but like, this is again how FAN works, not just in the AEW Board, but as a whole, memes happen, especially when stuff is given only the context of "Punk and his lawyer are rubbing their hands together" in a post. I know what you meant now, yes, but that's not what you posted, and even in the context of what you meant, Punk and his lawyer trying to sue over a chant in a video or them using it in any connotation seems literally impossible to do and a huge stretch imo.

Disagreement is literally what a discussion forum is about, as is conveying why people disagree or why a point might be way too out there... it's literally what FAN has done since its inception, and there have been way more egregious examples than people saying why "Suing over a crowd chant" wouldn't be possible... that's literally all anyone did here, they didn't disagree or mock any other point, just the most outlandish one, because it is an outlandish statement to try and SUE OVER A CROWD CHANT or using said chant in a video. The posts weren't even that bad that I can really see on it. I sympathize if you just don't want confrontation or aren't a fan of it... but no one here was wrong or imo toxic in any of their responses to the points provided, and once again, no one here has even argued once that all of the people involved were wrong in some way, not in almost 700 pages as far as I've seen. No one is innocent, but the projection against The Elite I think is really safe to say, been a bit overkill for what they did compared to CM Punk. But that's just my opinion on the discussion board as well. I'm not sure why you quoted me and went on about the suing the crowd comment. I didn't mention that at all, just commented on what I see and why I avoid places in general. For the record the suing the crowd thing is ridiculous. It'd be like women in ecw trying to sue the crowd for libel for the chants the fans directed at them We are suing the crowd now? Can we please start with the What chants?

Say what you want about them "promoting" the chant. After the shitshow that CM Punk caused, I'd say they have every right to at least acknowledge the chant on BTE..

"Deliberately" is a huge stretch and reading this much meaning into the tea leaves of assuming people thought you were talking about legal action is a sign that maybe you're starting off on a real unhealthy foot with this. Did anybody really think I was saying CM Punk would sue a bunch of marks? No, it was quite clear I was saying the BTE deliberately focusing (and therefore promoting it) would not be very wise. I thought that would be obvious. We are a smart board, I thought.

Literal hundreds of pages that were good fun time memes and shitposts I really thought this thread would be immune to this BS with how long so many people went posting in it with literally no issues or confrontations But there was a way found, and it's depressing.

"Phil (or more likely his lawyer) will now be rubbing his hands together" This carries an implication and like if there's just a cultural boundary to that meaning then I don't know what to tell you, but I read this a certain way, a lot of people did too, the assumption of intense, seething malice on your part is a you problem but if you can't even go a post clarifying your meaning without insulting everyone's intelligence then I'm not sure how to respond. Maybe I'm just too dumb. Not sure who said 'Dumbass you can't sue a crowd', that must've slipped by me, but that definitely wasn't a whole page of people.

More power in spinning into the absurdity...I apparently immediately said the Bucks were antisemitic right after even though they are great friends with Colt...atleast that is what the responses would make you believe

The chant was already in full force and commented on by commentary on the PPV itself, I doubt it then showing up in BTE mattered more than that as a whole It is true CM Punk can hold some grudges for little to no reason though, so who knows, if he actually tries to take some action, we'll get memes regardless lol

The 2nd worst thing austin has contributed to wrestling. His 2001 heel turn? haha Scaffold match at GAB 91. I'm listening to the lapsed fan episode of that show so it's pretty fresh in my mind. I really enjoyed the heel turn even if it killed the attitude era.

I'm not a lawyer, clearly, and I'm not in lawsuit happy America (no offense to anyone but that's how it's seen from the outside, and Punk is hardly shy to this practice either) It just seems like poking the bear when the bear is probably looking for lunch

That part. Yeah. The words you said. That implied people did it on purpose to attack you. That's the alleged malice. You're being combative about the acknowledgement of your own accusations here, and I don't know what your goal is.
